Arubian132 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Hello, My friend rented a dedicated server, Specs: Hosted by: Reliablesite.net CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1230v3 Memory: 16 GB DDR3 Hard drive 1: 250 GB HDD Hard drive 2: 64 GB SSD Hard drive 3: 64 GB SSD OS: CentOS 6.5 X64 java version "1.7.0_45" Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_45-b18) Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.45-b08, mixed mode) Even vanilla lags, mostly block lag. Can some one point out if there is something wrong? is it on our side our server side? Thanks Edited March 11, 2014 by Arubian132 Quote
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted March 11, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) More information is required: What is the java command line with options you use to start the minecraft/forge server? Is anything else running on the box? What is the average/max/min ping time for at least 50 packets to the server? What is the average/max/min ping time from the server to 8.8.8.8 for at least 50 packets from the server console? How many concurrent players are connected when you experience block lag? What is the server CPU load and disk/network I/O load while experiencing block lag? What is the in-game TPS while experiencing block lag? What is the output of the linux "free" command both while experiencing block lag? How many chunks and entities are loaded while experiencing block lag? I'm sure I could come up with more, but this should be a good start. Edited March 11, 2014 by plowmanplow Quote
