PhoenixSmith Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Okay... So say I updated and just used the level dat.? Theoretically speaking of course How would I add the other files without losing the work I have done in 1.010a already? Edited April 12, 2014 by PhoenixSmith Quote

That way, folders definitely won't merge Your method of updating is taking the new files and putting it in the old server folder. My method is taking the world from the old server and putting it in the new server folder. Completely different means of updating. And anyone assuming my instructions meant otherwise didn't read. @PhoenixSmith - Copying the entire world folder from the previous server to the new server will get all of the information for the world, including everything you have done. PhoenixSmith Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 Yes I know it would have, but I did not do that. I just copied the .dat files over then worked on the new server. Now no else can log on but me... I want to know how to get the old player data for the others but keep my work I have done. Quote
Kalbintion Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 The player data is stored in the world folder as well. If you copied over the world folder it is all there. Quote
