T-Bag Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) I've tried all suggestions and I'm missing something I need a set of fresh eyes on this I've tried everything I can I'm missing something. modpack http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/odam-survivor-series.327885 link location http://odamclan.herobo.com/ODAMSurvivorSeries/ODAMSS_1.1.zip it downloads fine in my browser but threw technic it fails three times then I get the error downloading modpack. has to be something I'm missing. I just don't know what. It works fine in SMP in fact I can't wait neither can the guys in my clan wait to try out some of these mods on hardcore. Thanks in advance. I did mess with the forge loader a little but only assets for the main GUI I wanted some scary type pics in it. I will remove them to tet if that is what's causing it but I know others have done this so I thought it was ok. also trying to get a server going with thes same mods any suggestion would be hot. I think I have conflicts with some of these mods being SMP like the animated player mod which I really like it but it's clientside I don't think I need it on the server though. thanks in advance for any help. T-Bag Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 ok it works now that I deleted the assets out of the modpack.jar I will eventually want to learn how the others did this I looked at their modpack.jars and that's what they did modpacks like ragetech, and cataclysm they have their own menu and buttons. I would love to learn how to do that for now I will settle with just stock or maybe throw novamenu in. that takes care of one problem. the other problem of compiling a server that will work with this. I'm not new to server admin. but I am new to modding them this heavily. I downloaded the forge server, renamed it to forge.jar startup.bat with all the good limits and what not. but still crashes. I'm thinking it's the single player mods that might be causing this but I need more adept eyes to tell me for certain. again thanks for any help.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted April 12, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted April 12, 2014 You have item ID conflicts between multiple mods which need to be resolved. If you are using IC2 I highly recommend you check out this: . At a minimum you will want the recipe fixer. You have old versions of some of your mods with known bugs/crashes/instability (such as EE3 and Project Red). I recommend updating. I was able to start up a server using both plain Forge and MCPC+ by disabling the following mods: Armor Status HUD Animated Player Journey Map NEI Plugins (don't have to disable but does nothing serverside) NEI Addons (don't have to disable but does nothing serverside) Schematica
T-Bag Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 I was afraid of that. now do I have to disable those mods on the clientside as well or will forge give them an error cause they are using animated player and the server is not? Thank you very much for all the information I thought I went through all of the id conflicts in the IDconflicts.txt file which were quite a few. EE3 is already going to be disabled in version 1.2 and we are planning on adding quite a few more mods in this if I can get them to work. You have given me an excellent starting point and I appreciate your input. I will keep you aprised of the situation. and I'm also going to work on getting some permissions for some of these plug ins as well. I'd like to get a good run on popular mod packs here at technic. I don't even know how to rate a mod pack yet. also learning java at school I think minecraft modding will be good practice for me.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted April 13, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 The mods I listed as needing to be disabled are "client only" mods. They can be used in any client without the need to have them on the server (since they won't work in the server anyway).
T-Bag Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 I've released 1.2 of this modpack today if you have time give me some thoughts. IT IS A ROUGH MOD PACK I meant for it to be impossible or very very hard to play through.
