0 eebledeezo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I'm having the same problem, can anyone help?
0 Jay? Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Man, wouldn't it be great if there were a sticky that answered all these common problems and gave solutions for them?
0 Jay? Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Yeah. I am flabberghasted. Your sarcasm detection is really bad. There is a sticky that details common problems, and gives solutions to them. It's titled common problems and solutions.
0 eebledeezo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I was being sarcastic, I checked the sticky and it didn't help.
0 Jay? Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I was being sarcastic, I checked the sticky and it didn't help. Then you're double awful for either doing something incredibly wrong, or not actually posting what you've tried.
0 eebledeezo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I've tried everything the sticky suggested, I assumed that was a given.
0 Jay? Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I've tried everything the sticky suggested, I assumed that was a given. Let me give you a troubleshooting tip: Do not use phrases like "ive tried everything" "using the latest" or "it doesn't work" Tell us WHAT you have tried, give us your BUILD NUMBERS, and give us descriptions of the SYMPTOMS.
0 eebledeezo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Here's my solution http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp scroll down to offline 64-bit, download and install, worked for me.
0 Jay? Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 so... you downgraded your java? You realize that's going to screw things up in your game, right?
0 eebledeezo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Indeed I did, but the sticky forwarded me to the homepage, I clicked that link for this download and it didn't work. No worries, problem solved.
0 xXInfXx Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Thank you. You actualy solved my problem. Unlike these two bickering little girls.
0 DragnHntr Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 These threads blow my mind. Let me give an example of how this looks to us: Bob: Hey my TV remote isn't working! Jay: Try reading the manual. Bob: I did, but it just said to replace the batteries but that didn't work! (He doesnt say that it calls for AAs and he only has AAAs, or he put them in backwards, just that it doesn't work) Ned: Oh I had this problem and I tried everything! Turns out the correct solution is to push the buttons on the TV, that works! Jay: That isn't really a solution, are you sure you replaced the batteries correctly? Bob: Thanks Ned, I tried that and it worked! Facepalms all around.
