EvilOwl Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Hi there tekkit community. Here's my first topic so I'm open to suggestions. Is there a way of automate mining of redstone ore as with Silk Touch pickaxe? My first idea was a laser drill with red focus but it's a power hungry device on my game level. disconsented Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Well you could use a mining turtle with an autonomous activator Quote
EvilOwl Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Well you could use a mining turtle with an autonomous activator Can you elaborate on that? My first ideas about it are trickery and magic but can a turtle have an activator in its inventory and place it... and work with it? Quote
disconsented Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Turtle will move the autonomous activator, place said pickaxe into it and apply a redstone signal if need be Quote
EvilOwl Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Thanks. Will definitely try it out. Hmm... Needs some programming. No thing's for free. Pickaxe durability will have to be in the code. Edited April 30, 2014 by bochen415 Quote
Curunir Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Well, you can always quarry the Nether, and smelt-pulverize the Nether Redstone Ore. Worked alright for me, and with Cryotheum pit cooling it is quite painless to run unattended. Quote
EvilOwl Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 Oh no. Not that pesky fluid again. Already hate it. Tried to swim in it... Not a good idea. Don't we have any other fluid for this use? Quote
randomchance Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Oil (with the usual burning effects), sludge or sewage might do it too. Quote
EvilOwl Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) Oil in the nether? Doesn't it blow up? Sludge, sewer? I was thinking kinda milk, chocolate, coffee. Edit: Oil blows up. Milk evaporated along with chocolate. Went with cryotheum for the moment but that fluid is a silent murderer. Edited May 1, 2014 by bochen415 Quote
Curunir Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I have not tried other fluids once I mastered Cryo. It's nasty, but I enjoy the fact that hell freezes over at my command. Also, snow blankets. :-D Quote
