issues creating a modpack

Hi i am attempting to create a modpack for me and my freinds like voltz but with a few extra mods but i am in test stages putting it into vanilla minecraft but i have had this crash report while adding mods. (mekanism)

Get the latest version of Mekanism from the mod author's preferred distribution channels.

i thought this is cause i need 1.6.4

 

plus i downloaded from a site which just promote the download (skydaz.com)

Always, always download the mods from the author's preferred distribution channels. To do otherwise risks virus infections and not having the proper versions or installations.

If you google "minecraft mekanism" the very first link is the author's post/thread about his mod.

and when i put it on the launcher how do i make it enable mods so it isnt vanilla minecraft??

You "bin" folder should contain one file and that being "modpack.jar" which is simply the correct version of Forge renamed to modpack.jar.

does that include the crash which happened on my minecraft test pack

Your most recently posted crash report shows that you are using some absolutely ancient versions of mods with known serious problems (such as Galacticraft and Mekanism). Without updating your mods to working/compatible versions it will be difficult to help you. Without a link to your modpack page or download it will be even more difficult to help.

• Your modpack.jar is named "modpack.jar.jar". Turn on the Explorer option to always show file extensions to prevent this mistake (Google is your friend).
• You need to updated a number of mods (see my previous post on this).

Your Mekanism = 5.5.7.291, Current Mekanism = 6.0.4.43

Your Galacticraft = 2.0.2.814, Current Galacticraft = 2.0.12.1050

Your TConstruct = 1.5.4d4, Current TConstruct = 1.5.5.7

 

The list goes on.

All the versions I quoted are specifically for Forge/MC 1.6.4.

no because the new mekanism is 1.7.2 so is galacticraft and metaworlds and flans and a few others

And no, you are going to need to go through your pack to make sure you have the correct/updated/compatible/stable versions. If I went through the whole thing and gave you links directly to every mod after auditing every mod you have in the pack I might as well build it myself. You are doing fine, just keep going and you'll get there.

the thing is for some mods for example flans gun mod i cant find the 1.6.4 download link from the website only the 1.7.4 so i have to get it from somewhere else and the mod still works tho??

 

also why wont it activate the forge or the mods when i download from the platform

That's either a .Zip issue or a sharing issue. 

 

If it's just giving you regular mine craft version 1.6.4 or something, try:

 

-Using a different sharing site 

-using a different program for compressing files (keka works great)
