Copy.com modpack problem.

I have been using copy.com to host my modpack "Industrial Age The Turning" for a few months, and recently the link would stop working, the platform would give the usual error of it not being able to download and consult the modpack author.

While that does seem to work, it stops working for the modpack after a day, i have had to reuploaded it constantly just to fix the issue, which only fixes it for a day for people, then the problem comes back.

 

I have tried changing the link like so:

 

1. (the file is called 1.6.4_modpack.zip): https://copy.com/MnBN4APptrEJ/1.6.4_modpack.zip

2. (going directly to the link it provides and copying the url, it changes it to this: https://www.copy.com/s/MnBN4APptrEJ

i tryed using that url, changed nothing.

3. I tried changing the url from: https://www.copy.com/s/MnBN4APptrEJ TO https://www.copy.com/MnBN4APptrEJ (removed the /s/)

4. Tried changing it to: htts://www.copy.com/MnBN4APptrEJ (removed the S from "https" and the /s/

5. Tried removing"https://"

 

None of the above have worked at all, only reuploading the file as a new file and setting it to public and taking that url fixes the problem FOR ONE DAY.

I am attempting to ask for help from the copy.com team who said the link was fine and to consult them again when the problem comes back up, i am awaiting their reply.

The "Sharing Settings" area dissapears a lot for me and i click share it will say its public but sometimes it turns back to secure no matter what i do, im not sure why its started acting up after i been using it for 3 months, even if i make a new upload it happens over and over after about a day after i upload it, the problem comes back.

It's just copy.com being wonky sometimes. If you completely reload the page (force reload) it comes up fine.

ive tried that, the problem has come back again today even with the ?download=1 at the end.

 

Every 1-2 days the direct link will stop working and the download error for the modpack will come back that it cant download it, my sharing settings are blank again, but clicking ons hare still says its public key, but no solution has worked besides a reupload every single day.

 

Is there some other file host i can use, ive transferred between so many, ubuntu one is now offline, filesplat is way to slow, dropbox has a bandwidth limit, mediafire direct links change constantly, what else is there?

You can even try downloading my modpack and see that it cant, but reuploading the file as a new file fixes this for one single day, im not sure what else todo as this started happening only recently.

As you can see it doesnt look as it should, the file should be in the middle with download options, it was there a day ago, even this morning, its gone now

You need to contact copy.com and ask them why your file is being flagged:

{"result":"error","error_code":"1048","error_string":"Link 'dXUXhaLm8pkq' has been flagged as abuse"}

If your files are repeatedly being flagged for abuse then you have problems we cannot help you with. You need to contact copy.com.

Add "?download=1" (without quotes) to the end of the URL.

oh ok, well im awaiting their response to see why its flagged, i started messing with texturepacks for my modpack im using lb photo realism, and i took a few addons for mods and added it in, all works fine except my glass texture is black/purple removing optifine fixes it, not sure why its happening its like its not patching it correctly.

 

I tried remove optifine launching it, closing and re-adding optifine but it didnt change anything, and its only the vanilla glass

-- Its fine when its in hand btw, the texture is broken only when placed

If you provide a link to the texture pack I'll take a look at the textures to see what's up with the glass.

again it only happened when optifine was on, before i added the addons it was ok

Yep, that's an odd one. The glass.png texture seems totally fine. Correct color scope, correct bit depth, transparency looks find, format is correct, size is correct.

Bumping is bad form. Other than re-doing the texture from scratch or talking to the people who made it I couldn't suggest anything else.
