startrekexplorer Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Ok heres the sulution: Restart The computer and turn on your second Graphics Card. That should Fix it. BTW im on an aleinware laptop so heres how I fixed it Step 1: Turn off the computer (Restart it) Step 2: Turn it on Step 3: While on the loading screen Hit F2 Step 4: Look for Graphic Setting and Open it Step 5: there should be a Option that is enabled. Disable it. Step 6: Save and Exit and Load up computer Step 7: Open Technic Step 8: Enjoy! Oh and P.S. Thanks Dad!
Melfice Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Oh, brilliant. You're linking us to an item that is inaccessible, since it is still on your computer (WE CAN'T ACCESS THAT!), but you feel confident enough to give us a solution based on fucking around with settings you shouldn't probably fuck around with? On top of that, the instructions are vague as fucking anything: "There's an option that's enabled (amongst hundreds more, no doubt), so go ahead and disable that option that I never specified." Yeah... I'm gonna go ahead and tell people to be careful with this one. For future reference, problems like these go on the tracker (link in my signature), and it's a common enough problem, as I understand it, so a quick search on the tracker should give you a good solution. Glad to see you managed to fix your problem though.
startrekexplorer Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 Ya Know What. Your Right. But Just a Quick heads up, here is only 1 enabled thing in the video card settings so ppl should no what im talking about (If they run an aleinware Laptop). I have only found the solution for this kind of computer. I have not researched the "Bug" On other kinds of computer b/c i only have one that operates like that. But Ya you were right. Also, Please do not Curse. Thank you. P.S. Please dont rage on this comment. Like I said b4, I have solved the problom for this kind of computer only. P.P.S. Dont Be Sacastic too much in the future P.P.P.S. I like P.S.'s
Kalbintion Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 "alienware" is not acceptable means of saying a solution only works for alienware. As there are many types of alienware machines, with varying hardware. Your solution isnt pre-destined to work on all alienware machines, and chances are it would work with other machines if your solution made more specific sense. To top it off, modifying BIOS settings shouldn't be necessary to resolve issues for a singular software case.
Melfice Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Alright, listen Liane. When your first solution to a software problem is "copulating" with the BIOS settings, sarcasm is the only valid response ever. On top of that, righteous sarcasm is the only thing fueling the engine that runs these forums, so y'know... my hands are tied here. PS. While I have no obligation of actually not cursing, I went ahead and didn't curse. I'm awesome like that. PPS. Teehee! I said "peepees"!
startrekexplorer Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 ok lets respond to Kalbntion First: Yes you are correct. I am not really that much of a computer expert so i may have confused ALOT of people. I Dont know how to specify what alienware i have. Also BOIS settings are the only way AFAIC Ok to melfice: Ya I do enjoy sarcasm. but i don like it when people do it in every sentence (im not saying that you did). And Ya you are awesome like that!
Kalbintion Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I highly doubt BIOS (not "BOIS") settings were the answer. I guess we'll never know though without actually seeing the log and knowing exactly what was done.
