Tekkit and Spout

I am aware that tekkit is a modified spout client, but does that mean it will work with spout mods?

I know there may be problem like ID conflicts but do most mods that work on spout work on tekkit too?

From what I understand, the Launcher only is a fork of spout. Tekkit itself is not compatible.

Then again I don't know what Spout is, this is just what I have seen people answer this question.
