disconsented Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Since the DMCA notices there has been a huge push to move servers away from bukkit. Information -> https://docs.google.com/document/d/12RV9FEe7wsowfAd_fVML1tNs3MplYIQ090CO41ejsvA/edit Quote
Kalbintion Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 You do realize Mojang actually owns bukkit right? Dinnerbone already said he'll continue development on it for 1.8. It won't be going anywhere. Quote
Neowulf Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 http://games.slashdot.org/story/14/09/06/1323225/dmca-claim-over-gpl-non-compliance-shuts-off-minecraft-plug-ins Different drama. Wolverness wrote a good chunk of bukkit and his code is GPL. That code that was written to interface with non-GPL code, making it a copyright violation. He filed a takedown to stop distribution of GPL non-compliant code. Or in other words, his crop is ripe and he's looking to reap a massive harvest of pure unadultered Sweet Scandanavian Dramapoppies and cook himself up enough smack to last years. Kalbintion 1 Quote
TheBytemaster Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Sweet Scandanavian Dramapoppies. Okay, you made me laugh there. But dang, if it's drama he wants, he could have just said he was working on a project to make a Dwarf Fortress/KSP version of Better Than Wolves, would have been a lot easier and funnier. Quote
