DTaylorMedia Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 (edited) I have finished making the next update for my modpack, but I don't know how to upload it to the build without replacing the first update. How can I do this? Edited September 6, 2014 by DTaylorMedia Quote
Kalbintion Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 If you want more than one version available in the launcher, youll need to use solder (very little support for this btw) - if you want to not replace the already uploaded file, just use a different name to the file and update the modpack to the new zips url. DTaylorMedia Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Ok. How do I setup solder? Quote
disconsented Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Its like google doesn't exist (Tip: TechnicSolder) Quote
Roversword Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 No offense, but...if you do not know how to update a modpack, then I have my doubts you are ready for TechnicSolder. I might be very wrong though You need a place to put the ZIP which represents your modpack. Now, you surely have one already, because you have already a version up and running. Name the new version differently as the first one, upload it at the same place and then go to the web interface....change the URL for the pack and the version number! That should basically do it....good luck disconsented and Kalbintion 2 Quote
DTaylorMedia Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Think I've gone wrong somewhere, my update has replaced my first update. Quote
Kalbintion Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 And it will, it always will. Like i said, if you wanted a version control system, solder is the way youd need to go and it isnt easy to setup. Quote
