msknight Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Hi Folks, Decided to move to Xubuntu Precise, 64 bit. Killed the previous .techniclauncher. Got hold of 64 bit Java 7. Program runs but gives... May 17, 2012 10:37:00 PM org.spoutcraft.launcher.Util log WARNING: Rebooting with [java, -Xmx1024m, -classpath, /home/michelle/Downloads/minecraft/technic/technic-launcher.jar, org.spoutcraft.launcher.Main] There is only one log file relevant which is in logs and that only states that it is starting with 1 meg of RAM (my own launch statement gives 2) from which I conclude that this log starts after this issue has been hit. ../bin/java -Xmx2024M -Xms2024M -jar technic-launcher.jar Any ideas please?
perpetualgamer Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I have had this problem in the past and it didn't seem to matter to much, I think the main issue was that when you "run" the launcher your not running the game, so when you manually set the memory usage and such it kinda just looks at you and says "no thanks". Reboots the launcher with the memory it needs. If you want more memory use the launcher to set it. If my answer doesn't make you giddy and happy, theres a lovely bunch of people over at http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/board,4.0.html who can only read the following format Launcher/pack Version: Operating System: Version of Java: Description of Problem: Error Messages: Link to pastebin of log: Who would love to give you more satisfying answers I'm sure.
