Bukkit to Tekkit

I have hosted a Bukkit server for a while with my mates, and I now wish to try it as a Tekkit server.

Is there some way to convert the map?

I tried just loading the mapfile but Tekkit loads a version of the map that is several months old even though I copy the mapfile directly from Bukkit to Tekkit.

A vanilla map should work fine without conversion, but which version of Tekkit are you using? If you're still on 2.1.1, upgrade to 3.0.4, as only the newer version understands the new map format.

Just be ready to generate new chunks in order to get all the new resources added by the many mods with in tekkit. Beyond that you should not have too many issues as tekkit is bukkit based and all you may need to do is to take extra care with permissions/locking down things. Since the pack has a greater amount of griefing potential than normal minecraft due to the wide array of mod items.
