  1. Please try again both of you. Namrets...I think originally I added your name with a zero at the end, not an O which might be the issue. Should be fixed now =)
  2. http://build.aegisgaming.org/job/BukkitForge/ Looks like ForgeBukkit to me.
  3. That's from November...and even there it doesn't say it's dead...just "likely dead" The fact new jenkins builds are coming out regularly leads me to believe me that 2 month old article is ...well out of date. All this being said I'd like to get away completely from bukkit as it is. Hopefully when ForgeEssentials comes out with a full release that'll be able to start happening.
  4. Is it? Then why has the author been updating it making fixes as recently as this morning? It was probably slowing but my guess is with Tekkit Lite out and many people now using FB to try to fill some needed gaps in server capabilities it might become much more active and working. It's far from perfect, think it's behind in some CB versioning as well but I'd hardly call it dead. It works fairly well for any plugin that doesn't require perms or have internal perms. I think Vault right now isn't working with FB which is why perms don't work. For example I can use essentials and anything I make active for everyone, everyone can use. But another plugin that uses perms will give OPs the permissions but no one else regardless of group flaggings.
  5. When you say towny advanced works...does it actually work as it should or is it just not giving you errors when you load it up? Are normal players able to use towny commands effectively?
  6. I have a test server running -74 without issue at the moment. I updated FML though so that might be what's causing you grief.
  7. I don't think the problem is with group manager or permissionex....I think the issue is vault. It seems most plugins grant OP powers fine but I think vault isn't hooking the normal plugins with the permission plugins causing non-op people to not get flagged for anything. Also, every creeper block damage prevention method I could think of doesn't work. Essentials (2.95) will however properly disable creepers from spawning which is at least something for now
  8. 74 works perfectly fine with tekkit lite. You just need to delete all the files in the /lib folder of your server first so it downloads the most recent ones.
  9. Dirty, setos, yano and chester....you have all been added to the server whitelist. See you in game.
  10. On my SMP server we've started coming across some exploits and items that crash the server. I thought it might be a good idea start a list us admins can use as a general knowledgbase of what to restrict or watch for. Post anything you find here and I'll add them to the list Items to ban: CraftPacket Table 2050:2 (will make the server unusable upon use. Chat will work but no world functionality will work forcing a manual server restart. Was tested 3 times) CraftPacket Stamper 2050:3 (well without the table, the stamper is useless...doesn't really *need* to be banned but might as well) Exploits: Blaze rods are still exploitable. Macerate one to make 5 blaze dusts. 2 blaze dusts with transmute to a new blaze rod. Allows for unlimited fuel source
  11. You're added jrogge. Be sure to note the port change with the server today (we're running on default minecraft port now)
  12. It's doable. My server is hosted by a remote company. They're just electing to not do it.
  13. you might simply want to reload your tekkit and try again. Hung and Ziibez are in here playing as well as a number of others
  14. A lot of updates have been done to the server, more slots, better configs. Residence and coreprotect are also active. Server is now whitelist only while we test things out. Just post your IGN here to get access if you haven't already
  15. Following his instructions with the raw download....essentials is operational with 0.5.1 ...it's not perfect...for example /heal will not work. I'm still going through all the commands but it looks like a lot of the important ones work (tpa, sethome, home etc) More importantly....this gets group manager operational....so permissions are now not so much of a PITA to make happen. This was done on my FE disabled build. I would assume having FE still operational will cause issues
