  1. Easiest way would be to just copy the entire config folder

Run the launcher, select tekkit classic, click the little gear below the pack, click open folder

Replace the config folder on your server with the config folder from the client (it's in the folder you just opened)

This SHOULD resolve the issue of the missing configs as the client should have them

  2. Select the AotBT pack in the launcher, click the small gear below it (not the one in the top right)

Set to Manual Build then change the version in the dropdown to the old version, update the pack when prompted

You will not be asked to update again until you change the pack back to recommended builds or you change the manual build selection

  3. Sigh. You only need the modpack.jar in your bin folder, and unless you are installing jar mods you can rename the forge universal zip to modpack.jar and be done with it

Also, you bundled your rei's minimap data, this will piss off your players immensely when their keybinds, settings and waypoints are replaced with yours

    Also, patience, learn it!

Triple posting in the space of 3 hours won't get you help any faster

  4. It's a script link not a direct link, just because you download the file from clicking that doesn't make it direct

Anything after the ? is ignored so what it's seeing is https://drive.google.com/uc which is invalid because it lacks a file extension

Both of these links will download my modpack, both are valid links to the platform, but only the 2nd link will work on the launcher

  5. I've only glanced over this but what I'm getting from this is you think that the platform has taken away from the packs created by the original team by heavily diversifying the market

So for argument's sake, lets say the platform didn't exist

All this would do is make modpack installation harder for the end user, and it may also cause the communities that use minecraft to split because as the packs change tastes are not met, an example for me would be AotBT, a lot of my friends like the pack because of the mods that it offers, but because it doesn't have Applied Energetics and Rei's Minimap, mods that I have grown used to and to a degree rely on the pack didn't appeal to me, to offer a middle ground I put together a smaller pack with a number of mods from AotBT and then a few community choices

Without the platform that wouldn't be an option because only 2 other people have the knowhow to install a new pack, so I'd be stuck going in to Teamviewer for every other user on every install and update

The main packs are there for a quick and easy solution, both the client and server are ready to go out of the box (mostly) while the platform, despite how it may seem, doesn't give people to power to make modpacks, they already had that, it lowers the bar for installation of that pack allowing a wider audience to experience it, that is what technic did for me before platform, it brought me in to modded minecraft

If I've misinterpreted the message of this topic then my apologies

  6. I'm using the technic launcher and i clicked the gear but the max i can set it to is 1GB then 768MB and 512MB. The suggested is 2 to 3 GB as you say but that's way above what it will let me set. I know i have 6GB of ram so idk why it wont let me set it higher.

You are running on 32bit java, install 64bit java and if you still don't see options above 1 Gb uninstall 32bit java

  7. Don't double post, edit your posts instead

And _JAVA_OPTIONS has been set to cap your ram at 512 Mb no matter what, to change this you will need to edit the environment path for your OS.

And I don't normally offer this but since this can somewhat screw your machine up I can get on Teamviewer and try to make the changes for you
