Liquids not "flowing" in Tekkit Lite SSP?
Vaygrim replied to Vaygrim's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
Anyone have any links to the good versions of Optifine and Forge to use with Tekkit Lite? -
Yes getting loads of ore (specifically Copper, Silver, and Tin) which ends up smelting (or macerating and smelting) into various kinds. It seems as tho the furnace randomizes it when I pull the smelted bars out. One batch of copper will be "Copper Ingots" then five minutes later another batch of copper from the same mining area ... processed the same way... will end up being "Copper" or "Copper Ingots (Factorization)". There was a point where I thought I had run out of copper because there were two seperate stacks of it in a chest.. and the 'sort inventory' buttons were putting them at opposite ends of the sorting list (as one was "Copper" and the other was "Copper Ingot"). Super confusing. All Single Player. No "tweaking".

I started up the Technic Launcher... selected Tekkit Lite. It downloaded, installed, whatnot. I then started up Tekkit Lite, started a new game world (only adjusting a few graphics settings). Immediately upon mining and smelting ores in the basic starter furnace I noticed that I was getting ingot types that were not cross-stacking. The problem just got worse the farther I reached to mine and the faster I mined (using a Macerator and Electric Furnace). I literally adjusted only some keybindings in the Options screen as well as resolution and brightness. That is it. I'm not one to start digging through config files and JAR files to figure out how to "optimize things" needlessly, so this is a "straight out of the box" problem.

Using either method for dropbox does not work for me.

Liquids not "flowing" in Tekkit Lite SSP?

Okay, thanks! -
Oh so super simple for beginners, eh? LOL

I'm a guy playing in a SSP game.. how do I easily turn off ore generation for all of these different types of ore?

Liquids not "flowing" in Tekkit Lite SSP?
Vaygrim replied to Vaygrim's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
So Tekkit Classic doesn't have this issue with Optifine..specifically because it uses Bukkit and not Forge... yes? -
Unfortunately this isn't the case. I am Macerating and then Smelting everything that I get, yet I am still getting mixed ingot types as a result. I am constantly having to go back and forth to the Lexicon-Plinth thing just to keep my ingots from turning into a chaotic (and unstacking) mess. Sometimes I get "Copper".. other times I get "Copper Ingots" .. and sometimes I get "Copper Ingots (Factorization)". It's exceedingly confusing and severely stupid. The development team really needs to consolidate the ore types like in Tekkit Classic, so we don't have this issue. I guarantee it is going to scare off new players due to confusion (because that is what it is doing to me).

Liquids not "flowing" in Tekkit Lite SSP?

This is SSP. Spawn protection isn't an issue as I can decimate the landscape immediately around spawn just fine. Anyone else have a suggestion? This is REALLY cramping game play heavily. -
So in theory I should be able to use any version of copper in any recipe? Well that is good to hear. This means I could use the Forge Lexicon to convert all types to one stackable version.. and just use one set of everything?

Is there at some point in Tekkit Lite's future going to be a consolidation of all the various ore duplications? "One Copper To Rule Them All" as it were?

FORESTRY IS ALLOWED IN TEKKIT! READ
Vaygrim replied to AnonTakesOver's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
Forestry initially interested me a great deal, but I came in after this whole fiasco happened and was not sure of the reason for its removal. Knowing that the mod author was willing to put malicious code in and attack users just to get at other developers makes me never want to use it. -
Place the what...? Forge Lexicon..? So checking the Tekkit Lite Wikia, I have to use something that requires gold bars and obsidian to make, just so I can make use of all the ore I find? That seems rather... player un-friendly doesn't it?
-
So I just started using Tekkit Lite literally 3 days ago. I've been a Tekkit Classic person for the last two months, but wanted to see if Lite was going to end up being 'better'. I do some mining, do some ore smelting.. and immediately get confused. I have "Copper Ingots" and "Copper". "Silver Ingots" and "Silver". "Iron Ingots" and "Ferrous Ingots". What the heck is all this? Why does none of this stack.. and why can I not use ANY kind of copper for a recipe that calls for copper?

Liquids not "flowing" in Tekkit Lite SSP?

Sounds very similar to me, tho I didn't know about the right-click-trick. Does that update just the target square, or will it update that square and all others it effects? EXAMPLE: If I empty a bucket of water against a wall 3 blocks up.. I get a "water fall" / "fountain" effect. I _SHOULD_ be able to remove that one top source block of water and stop the whole flow. In my SSP game tho.. it doesn't. I have to cancel out each and every square. So if I try your trick and right click on the source square I removed... will it update the whole waterfall or just that block? -
I've got an SSP going to test out Tekkit Lite (I am seeing if I want to transition from Classic to Lite, long term). One thing I am noticing immediately (latest recommended build, which I believe is 0.57?) is that water and lava are basically static. They don't flow. If I take a single bucket of water out of a massive ocean, I have a permanent 'empty square' left there in the water. Blocking off the source block of a water flow in a mine does NOT stop the water coming out of it. I have to individually block off every single square with a solid block like Dirt or Cobblestone. Am I doing something wrong? Did I forget to turn something on?

I'm on a server that is supposedly running 3.1.2 of Tekkit Classic. At present the Transmutation Tablet is broken on this server for all users. It can be placed, but does not display EMC values for anything placed into the lefthand field. The only way it states that it 'learns' something is if you place that block in the BURN SLOT. Doing this however will not put EMC into the Tablet's count, but instead just spits the burned item back at you when you step out and back into the Tablet. The confusing thing is... I have been on other servers recently that run the same version of Tekkit Classic and the tablet works just fine. Is this a configuration bug, permissions bug.. or what?

Currently looking for a Tekkit Classic server (not "Freemium" with EE needing to be bought into... but Tekkit Classic, straight up).

IN GAME NAME: Vaygrim AGE: 40 (gasp!) TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF: I've recently changed careers from IT Technician to Writer, allowing me to flex my creative side more often. I'm very new to Minecraft and Tekkit, so I am extremely curious about anything and everything involved with it. I want to create RedPower contraptions, streamline work process with IndustrialCraft inventions, and potentially even peddle my wares to the other players using things like the Trade-O-Mat. Mostly however I am looking for a community of which I can become a member. TIMEZONE: Central Time Zone (Texas, ya'll !) EVER BANNED: No (I've only actually played on two servers) TEKKIT EXPERIENCE: I picked up Tekkit roughly 3 weeks ago, absorbing everything about it in the process.

Wait.. so this is no longer a Tekkit server but a "Feed The Beast" server?
