  2. logs shows player disconnected. I looked at adding optifine but it's not getting along with the new forge very well. I lowered the view distance to 6. beyond that not to sure what else to do till I get into the E3 box. Unless you have any other tricks up your sleeve (or anyone else does)? Did you get a chance to look at the crafting list or around just looking for feed back if not no biggie you've all ready helped steering me towards the E3.
  3. I saw on my log that a player named viciuos had logged on thought it was you. If it was, was wondering how it ran for you. And I'm taking your advice and moving the whole thing over to a E3 box after looking into it more. Just finalizing the specs I want now as far as ram (16gb min) and HD (ssd 60GB or 120GB)

  5. JJ's hosting has been great to me and for me! I was just looking at what some of my other options are or would be. They have been very supportive and have helped me with any problems I've had as I've grown. I was looking for something with some more PUNCH then a typical minecraft box is all. So It looks like I'm going to be moving into an E-3 dedicated server in order to support higher player counts and the 130+ mod mix I'm running. The 6gb server I'm running now works fine and I'm very happy with it but the eventual goal SOMEDAY is a 400 slot server.   6. The big problem I have is my Multicraft panel shows %52 usage on my 6gb of ram with just 3 people logged in at times. Maybe Multicraft is just doing a piss poor job of reporting usage but it makes me nervous, I am running 130 mods though. So I am thinking that to get the horsepower I need to run the mod mix I want I don't need a minecraft server I need an E3 or better dedicated server.

It's got pretty much ALL of tekkit and voltz in it plus the power converter mods to allow you to use build craft, industrial craft, universal electric, mods and power source side by side for example the power armor mod will run off pretty much any power source (that's almost always been the case though) there's large update that go in on Saturdays and there are some good ones waiting already!! I've been very lucky to find a talented builder who has help me out ALLOT and he's really made the town look better then I could have. If you have any ideas or suggestion once you see web page or server please let me know!

  11. I do not know if anyone else has mentioned this but is there a way for servehosts so have the technic launcher on our ftp site with our mod pack and custom zip already in one of the custom slots? that would make it so easy on our players!

      I believe so, get a copy of the launcher and install the modpack, then zip the %APPDATA% folder(Windows) or the Application Support Folder(Mac) and distribute that, just don't login and you won't have to fish out the minecraft.jar (although I would check the folder anyway as a precaution.

      Edit to my previous post, only zip the techic folder that's in the %APPDATA% or Application Support folder, not the entire thing.

  12. we do like runnning the quarries with electric engines powered by geothermal in hidden underground bases. running them to diamond pipes and out to diamond chest once sorted makes it easier with the self mining.
  13. right click the server down load link copy it. open a new window. paste the link in the address bar. change the version number to which ever one you want. for example: http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/voltz/Voltz_Server_v1.0.11.zip change it to http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/voltz/Voltz_Server_v1.0.12.zip SOMETIMES you can snag an alpha or unanounced release http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/voltz/Voltz_Server_v1.0.19.zip (that ones fake it's an example!) but you get the meaning!
  14. yea sorry for slipping the self plug in (gotta call it what it was i guess). All the toys I've been playing with have so far been other people's work (and very good work) trying to learn to make a few of my own but so far it just makes my head want to explode it's great fun though love the challange of it!

I have a hybrid tekkit/voltz server running on a server at 108.170.36.228 I moved it from my home to a company server i had to drop the mocreature spawner and one other creature pack and it throws an error for auto sneak though it does allow it to work. I'll have to do a rework on a few things and people have asked for energy links back but it's working fine. The power suits will us voltz powe or EU and the missles are a blast for pvp.
  16. yea I have a server with a mix of things but you need to make a few changes outside of the mod folders to the config files and things. it's nice cause the powe armor runs on eu or voltz power. which makes it ALOT harder to find players. I have a server with a tekkit/voltz mix no energy condensers or gem armor and only 4 players :-(
  17. I'm running a hybrid tekkit/voltz server took out the energy condesors the gem armor kept the power armor and missles best of both worlds. Plus the more creature mods love it! And the power armor will accept both forms of power be it eu or volz. yea some of it's a pain using the right wrench or the right type of ore (watching block numbers makes the diff.) but it's great pvp fun!!!

I am launching a hybrid server runnning a hybrib mix of tekkit and voltz for example charge yor power armor from your nucleor reactor, your high power solar array, antimatter generator, hydrogenrator. Stop your foes with the tesla coil or a missle with an EMP blast! Just working on the custom zip to make lodding the mods easier now. If intrested contact me at [email protected] thanks.
