Try adding more RAM to the launcher. Open the launcher, click on the cog gear up at the top right corner next to the X button. Where it says "memory" and has a scroll down menu, click on the menu and select a good number. Depending on how much RAM you have, thats how much you can dedicate. I have 8GB of RAM installed, and I have 6GB dedicated to Tekkit.

Go to that directory,C:\Users\Ausan\Desktop\Tekkit server\config\mod_MinecraftForge and open the file. Copy paste it and let me see whats in it.

Ive had this problem before. First off, try adding more RAM. If that doesn't work, use this video to see if your problem persists.

It would be better for you to use a starter for your server. You can see everything going on. Your server should come with a "launch.bat" and that is what you start the server with. The "tekkit.jar" which I'm assuming your using to start the server is (from what I know) the item that keeps the server running. The console just tells it what to do. What I suggest you do, if you don't have a launch.bat, download a new server from technicpack.net and copy/paste the launch.bat into your server folder. If you already have it, right click on it and click, "edit". You will see "java -Xmx(number)G -Xms#G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui pause). This file just tells the Tekkit.jar to launch the tekkit.jar without a gui. The important part of this file is the "-Xmx#G -Xms#G". These control how much RAM is dedicated. -Xmx#G is the MAX amount of RAM dedicated and -Xms#G is the MIN amount of RAM dedicated. With your system, you could dedicate 5GB RAM max, and 4GB RAM min and the server will run pretty good with a certain amount of players. I hope this helps you and all others who read this.

How do I block users from using items with certain ranks? Is there a plugin to set what ranks, how or how long it takes to reach that rank, and what items and blocks that certain rank can use?

Try providing more information maybe? Such as what file is needed.... What does it say... The only guidance possible is to redownload the server.

It may be that you need to use the bukkit server starter.. Thats easy to find. The other problem may be that the items are blocked? Go to where you keep the server folder and find a file called "mod_EE.props" Open that with Notepad/Notepad++. Any editing program really. Then look for the items that cause you to leave the server. It should have the word "allow(in-game block)=1". If its a 0, change it to a 1.

Those are the same-ish specs I have and I run tekkit perfectly. Just turn down some small settings like render distance and set memory usage to 6 gigs and you will have no lag when recording.

Hello all. Im building a server and I have a bunch of things already done. Such as setting it up, getting a world, a few protection plugins and other things. But I need help building other things like a spawn. Im not very good at building so I need 1 or 2 people to help out. Exclusives or other things will probably be granted. What I need is a spawn. That's all for now, maybe later I can promote someone to admin or mod or something like. It will be a whitelist server with no items banned but you will need to reach a certain rank to get items like the rm pick. I do need some recommendations on what other plugins Im looking for. One such plugin is a ranking system. Where I can set ranks and what items those ranks can use and how people achieve these ranks.
