  2. It's temporary. Perhaps his grammar, spelling, and effort level will improve in 3 days. If not, well... :cop:
  3. I especially like but don't get to use it often enough.
  4. I believe that means he's ignoring you. Sadly, that's not something I can do. Wait, maybe I can. If you can't post here...
  5. Where did you get that title?
  6. Not a one of us. Also, colby-jack.
  7. If a guy calls a male friend his boyfriend, people automatically assume he's homosexual. The same is not assumed about a girl calling a female friend "girlfriend".
  8. Just so you know, though this is not necessarily the case, females in the US may or may not call girls who happen to be only their friends "girlfriends." Males, on the other hand, may never call a guy friend a "boyfriend." It doesn't work that way.
  9. I have heard that the new OSX hides the default Library. I don't really know anything more, though, since I haven't used a Mac in...15 years.
  10. You have both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Java. That would be why the maximum allocation is there. Edit launch.bat (or launch2.bat, whatever you want to call it) with this: "C:\program files\java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xms3G -Xmx3G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui pause Make sure it's in the same folder as the Tekkit.jar, and run it. That should be it.

    RAM problem

OP: Only being able to allocate 1536MB or less is always caused by having and using a 32-bit version of Java.
  12. Being gone for 3 months can have that effect.
  13. Did you look at your post that I quoted?
  14. Nope, edit the Path variable and add to the end (i.e. don't replace the whole thing) a semicolon followed by the Java path, which is usually c:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin - no quotes are needed.
  15. There is.
  16. Ancient moderator secret.
  17. Don't shameless plugs usually involve a link, or at least the name of the mod and a short description?
  18. Just because the launcher "works" doesn't mean it's not a launcher problem. The launcher can fail to download nearly every mod because it's being blocked by something, but it'll still run.
  19. Something is wrong with Java. Either your PC can't find it, in which case you need to add it to the system path variable, or you have the wrong bit version, in which case you need to remove it and reinstall the correct one, after a reboot. Without more information on what's been tried specifically, though, it's going to be hard to troubleshoot.
  20. If it's a universal problem, it doesn't really matter where this bug report goes. This is a wild guess, but what bit version is your OS and Java? (Note: Alienware M14X is not an OS.) If you're using 32-bit Java, and trying to jack up the graphics settings because you have a nice laptop, you will run out of memory.
  21. I would suggest trying that, since all the standard options seem to have failed at this point. Is there anything else that could be blocking part of your internet connection? Hardware firewall, ISP issues, anything?
  22. Yes, but you don't really need to point it out in that way. You already got one warning today for unneeded hostility, so I won't give you a second.
  23. Thread derailment must be a favorite pastime around here.
