Can't allocate more than 1536MB of memory
Torezu replied to oopsilon_'s question in Technic Launcher
This is true. Consider yourself warned. -
Kicking butt isn't subtle enough.

Why on earth would we do that? Part of the whole kellering thing is a maturity test. challenje is currently failing it.

New to Tekkit; I need advice on a new power source
Torezu replied to ShameWillFollow's topic in Cafe Lame
Energy crystals and lapotron crystals for nano and quantum armor and high-end energy storage (MFE and MFSU) and transfer (nether lava base, anyone?) - unless that's what you meant by "machinery". Nano saber. Diamond draw plates for RedPower machinery. Enchanted diamond picks/shovels/etc. for rapid excavation (unless you're using EE). I wouldn't consider any of that early-game, except maybe nano armor. -
3 weeks is recently dead - I'm not sure I'd call it long dead. Anyway, locked.

So you've disabled Norton long enough for the launcher to install and update your mod pack of choice?
-
Downgrading to Java 6, while it may fix the problem temporarily, is not the ideal solution because you will be unable to handle some mods nor to host a Tekkit server with Java 6. Please review your installed programs to make sure you don't have more than 1 copy of Java installed, and go from there.

I would run. Backing away slowly gives them time to catch up. You're an idiot.

OP: Listen to the man.

Thread cleaned. Keep private disputes private. Don't bring this crap to the forums.

This. Edit the OP with the correct information, or...no one will help you.

Thread cleaned. Keep it civil.

I...highly recommend relocating this post, or rather just posting a new one. This area is for new mod requests. As a matter of fact, this entire board section is for creating mods, and not dealing with existing ones. You want the General Tekkit SMP, or better yet Server Op Swap Shop section.
-
There's a thread at the top of the section for Small Scale Recruitment. Please use it.

"Open to LAN" isn't added until MC 1.3+, which no mod pack uses, at least any of which I've heard. You will need to somehow get a public IP address for people over the internet to join, either using a VPN tool like Hamachi, or simply port-forwarding from your router's IP to the server host's. If you're trying to play on a LAN, your the network IP address for the server might work.

It's unlikely you're going to get any help here for a plugin that is most likely going to be used for piracy, or at least has that potential. I realize it has benefits when the auth servers are down, but the obvious and probably most common use is for people that don't have legitimate accounts.

If you wish, but be aware that the forum mods/admins here do not regulate Tekkit servers - there's no way that's possible. My advice: if someone somehow "copied" your server idea: take the imitation as flattery, and resolve to make your server better. If they took your map, you gave it to them voluntarily, or allowed them access to your server files. In other words, there's not much we are willing to do, and removing the server post isn't on the list, unless it fails to meet the new guidelines within the allotted time. If you start posting on here just to create drama, the thread will be cleaned, and you will most likely be warned for it. Hint: If you don't say what he did, no one's going to care about your posts.

Yes, the picture should disappear in 3 days. Here's your other warning: http://www.technicpack.net/forums/threads/grr.21294/#post-161768

Actually, your previous warning expires in...3 days. Assuming you don't do anything else after that, the points go away entirely in a month. It's a cumulative scale, with a default 1-month expiration delay for old points.

Not directly, no. You have to either charge an energy storage device (energy crystals or lapotrons) then ender chest/carry it, or fill/move lava cells yourself. Ender chests only allow you to move things when you load the other dimension, as well, because unlike SMP you can't have more than 1 dimension loaded at once.
