Sam: Windows Firewall can do this. Do you have any other security software (or hardware, if it's your router) running?
-
Those of you who can't connect, delete your lastlogin file - that will often fix the problem. Also, delete your railcraft.dat file. The game should generate a new one. @Beanz - your world file(s) are likely corrupted. You can delete the railcraft.dat file, and open the world in MCEdit and save it, but you will likely face issues in the future, the most common of which is entire chunks rearranging themselves, usually near where the players were when the crash happened.

Can you read?

minecraft crashes when I press launch on technic
Torezu replied to slenderman950's question in Technic Launcher
You have a bad config file somewhere, most likely. Do you have the entire launcher log? -
Your launcher says you have multiple versions of Java running, or at least you have Java 6 and think you have Java 7. Try getting rid of older versions. You'll probably need to reboot afterward. Then fix your NEI per the NEI Common Problems thread (I believe it's in the Technic Bug Board).

Your launcher is quite old. I'd update it. We're past version 1 at this point.
-
So, it crashed before you ran it, during the download, or it crashed when the download was done and you were attempting to install a mod pack? Then don't. You sound pretentious, and statements like this aren't really necessary here anyway. Anyway, it's likely your antivirus software program(s) is/are interfering with your mod pack download. I'd disable McAfee first, and if that doesn't work shut off Trend Micro as well. Also, and I shouldn't have to say this, but monksy is correct. Java.exe is the process for the launcher, and killing it will remove the splash screen.
-
Go back and look again. None of the mods are 1.3 yet. Chill, and wait until when/if the mods are update, then wait some more for bukkit ports, then wait some more for the pack to be assembled and ready. And you get a nice big warning for effectively abusing the report feature and asking for ETA at the same time, or whatever else you want to call it - bug report form failure, maybe.
-
You have a block ID error. That really means your config files are messed up, and the easiest thing to do would be to completely reinstall the mod pack you're wanting to play, making sure you back up your world(s) first, of course.

my launcher just checks verion en then give error message
Torezu replied to micktv2006's question in Technic Launcher
Add Java.exe to your graphics card's list of stuff to run. This will likely be in your NVIDIA Control Panel, as it's an NVidia card. -
It's very likely that your inventory is corrupted. Delete your player.dat file on the server. Also, this is in the wrong spot. There's a section for Tekkit Bugs.

Cant find java directory (Error messege)
Torezu replied to ipad2liker2's question in Technic Launcher
Remove Java, reinstall, reboot. It will be added to the system path, and your launcher should work. -
Launcher - Flashes then disappears/ JAR - Command box flashes then disappears
Torezu replied to nrm123's question in Technic Launcher
Try putting the batch file in the same directory as your launcher .jar and changing the whole c:\Users\Packard Bell... path to just the name of the .jar, like so: "C:\program files\java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1G -jar technic-launcher.jar pause -
Oh dear, your sarcasm meter is completely broken.

It's likely one of your shift keys is stuck.

tekkit launcher doesnt download any mods
Torezu replied to jkillmaster's question in Technic Launcher
Something's interfering with your download. Have you tried disabling your firewall and antivirus, just for the install? -
Your speakers are wired the wrong way. Clearly you need to rewire them so you can turn the volume up. Oh, and update your Java.
-
Mod Select still grayed out even after following -common problems- thread
Torezu replied to Noctis's question in Technic Launcher
It's broken. You have to delete mods by hand if you don't want them. At some point in the next, say, 2 years, Kaker may get around to updating that post. :) -
That doesn't make sense. There's nothing wrong in your log. When's the last time you restarted your computer?
-
Try turning off your antivirus while you install.
-
9 times out of 10, this is a "You need to delete the whole folder and reinstall" error. Back up what you want to save, of course.
-
Go for the whole launcher log again, then. There's nothing wrong with that error message that I can see.

And is it possible to create batch files on a Mac? I don't know how that works, but this: splash screen fix thread - it seems to work when other stuff doesn't. I'm just not sure how to adapt it to a Mac.
