I dunno what's going on, but when my console says "[ForgeModLoader] Unloading dimension -23", the world is done loading and my family and I log in and play. My window has been saying that since the beginning.

I have been wondering the same thing. I haven't had any problems since day one. I run a private server on my computer for family to play on, and none of us has had any issues at all. I couldn't say what I'm doing differently, but hopefully, people will not give up. This mod is the most fun we've had since we started playing over a year ago.

Hexxit is using Minecraft 1.5.2 version, and the resource packs weren't in until 1.6. Unless Hexxit is updated to use 1.6 it won't be using resource packs. I could be talking straight out my butt, though I do believe I'm correct in my thinking.

Thanks Roors99, I had no idea that the blue grass became supercharged during a thunderstorm, so I thought it was just coincidence when I got struck by lightning as I ran over the grass. Now that I know, I'll have to consider moving the front door to my house as it is right in front of one of those patches! As to Deatheus' problem, I don't think it has to do with a pocket dimension because my husband and I found one like you described very early on in our game. He killed me to get me out then had to kill himself, though I don't remember how he pulled it off. He's never been hit by lightning, and I only have once when I ran over the charged grass during a storm. What kind of armor are you wearing? Maybe there's a special kind that attracts lightning to you?

I watched my husband "spiderman" his way across the nether with a huge lake of lava below him. He likes to live on the edge =/

I've been using shears to clip them down and I get glowstone out of them. Use shears on the glowcaps (green mushroom looking things)to put them in your bag and replant them elsewhere. I haven't figured out another use for them though, like it they are ingredients for something else.

I've only been able to set one way point, so that if I try to set a second one, it removes the first. Can we only set one way point or am I missing something?

I'm totally lost as to all the new armors and weapons and staffs and thingamajigs. I've been playing on Tekkit lite or a custom made server with the Buildcraft and Redpower mods my husband likes, so I have no experience with most of these mods. That said, we have both been having a blast discovering new items, monsters, dungeons, etc. We've gotten stuck trying to kill the pirates on a ship we found, but they regenerate like mad so we've got that on hold until we figure out some of the fancy-shmancy weapons that'll kill those bastages. I'd say explore, figure some of these things out for yourself, and keep checking the wiki for new information when you get stumped.

I had the same types of issues. I ended up installing the newest server files to a fresh new folder, then copied my world folder from the previous version into there. After updating the client files from the launcher, everything was great.

First time I loaded the new server files it kept crashing while it was loading. Thankfully I backed up my old server before I did this, so I was able to install the server files to a fresh folder then copied the world folder from my backup before I logged in. Updated the client files from the launcher, and when I got in, my old world was still there. Bonus feature, new blocks had generated in the parts of the world I'd already explored (thank you for basalt and marble!), so don't hesitate to go back to places you've already been.
