I'm working on a modpack and I need to remove duplicate ores. Is there anyway I can completly remove Copper, Tin, Bronze and silver. Im running the latest version of Voltz mods on 1.5.2. I don't know where else to post this. I need help editing the config files. It would be greatly appreciated. All I've managed go do is stop silver ore from generating but it still exists.

He's talking about the New tekkit. Not Tekkit Lite. You'll need to remove duplicate ores somehow (Actually something I need help on). And add a power converter mod so you can use Tekkit engines with Voltz Battery Boxes and the reverse. You'll need to generate a fresh config folder as well. I doubt Voltz with work with the Tekkit Config. Recipes will automatically allow you to use ores from both modpacks interchangebly. Copper ore from Volts will make a copper gear from tekkit and a wrench on voltz.

It's why I don't play Tekkit. My Modpack basically combines Tekkit and Voltz, and let's you convert BC energy to UE energy easily. I have more powergen Options then with IC2. Modular Power Suits are great though. And nothing wrong with Sci-Fi hand that does everything, I could see reasons for a mining tool though but a chainsaw? You could take trees out faster with An Axe+Tree Capitator. And I'm sure there's a automatic tree farmer in Mine Factory Reloaded. Good luck with your mod. A modpack isn't about the mods in it but what you can do with these mods. It's why Tekkitmain does what Tekkit Lite did without IC2 or Redpower.

I would save your world and way points, then reset the pack. Not on the newest stables from Jenkins.
