  1. Hes not, hes simply informing the other people that the dev builds will never be added to tekkit, also, forestry will never be added to tekkit stable or not. If your intent was to reply to two separate people you may want to edit for clarity.

No its only a reply to the quoted person. It really grinds my gears seeing people take devs for granted and refusing to adapt to change.

  2. You have.

    And they're dev builds.

We want a public release. The kinds of releases of which the devs actually say "Hey, we're confident in this build!".

Forestry is already out for 1.5.2 stable and a few versions in. You seem to not understand the time and effort required to maintain a mod. Especially a massive one such as IC2. Instead of clinging to it why dont you familiarize yourself with what's available? Mods have already replaced IC2 and gone beyond.

  3. Usually it would dump an error log to your desktop if it suddenly closes like that? Are you dedicating enough ram to it? Using a High Res texture pack? Does it happen on the same game save.

  4. I like the design. The thumbnail artwork looks good.

Personally, I trust that it actually is removed and doesn't just say it is more if I remove it manually. I dunno, maybe I've been using Win XP too much.

It doesn't actually remove the mods. It allows you to launch without them. You can re enable them at any time.

  5. You do not need to change the settings on the liquiducts when hooked up to a pump. Clicking on them sets them to self pump, this only needs to be done when extracting out of a tank. They also require a redstone signal to self pump.

Well originally I didn't change any settings. But after a minute of it doing nothing I tried clicking it with my wrench and hey there's an arrow. After waiting a bit more I replaced it with a golden water proof pipe and that worked. Could it be bugged? It's BC 3.7.1 Im using a private pack similar to Tekkit.

  6. I ended up with an interesting spawn point. I have a nice flat area to build on not far from a forest, jungle, and a swamp. Prime location. Best and worst part of it is, there is a Large Dimensional door rift field just 40 blocks away... I did not know this right away due to that area being uninteresting when I was setting up my base. Now I have a problem.

My house is simply made from cobblestone, for obvious reasons(curse you endermen). But I keep returning from mining expeditions to find my house invaded by groups of endermen that spawned from the rift field. Anyone have suggestions on how to keep the endermen at bay?

I need to have the ceiling of the main room at least 3 blocks high for the pipes and equipment so lowering the ceiling is not a viable option...

Also, I have already lost 3 cats to the endermen. Been using them to keep the creepers far enough from my door so that I can exit without them blowing up the entrance. But, the endermen seem to hate cats and attack them...

ps: the rift field is about 20 x 25 blocks in dimension consisting of at least 9 seperate rifts. Spawns somewhere between 8 and 15 endermen a minute. O_o

Why not create a rift remover? Or move? I can't think of any other way then lowering the ceiling but I see that you need space for equipment and pipes.

  7. TO me it looks like someone went into the mods and try to delete the so on so item id's located in the mods.cfg. They just need to replace the mods on the mismatch and everything should work

Hexxit probably has a custom config file for each mod. Simpily replacing the mods would generate the default one and wouldn't be compatible with the client side.

  8. Incorrect.

Really? I had a liquiduct hooked up to a Pump powered by a magmatic engine. I was creating a self sustaining pump in the nether fueling its own power source and pumping lava into a tesseract.. I attatched the liquiduct, made sure it was set to ouput and nothing happened. I attatched a golden pipe and immediatly lava poured in. Is there anything I'm missing?

  9. As far as I recall, if the Mojang screen shows up, it's out of the Launcher's hands. You might want to post the latest Forge logs, not the Launcher logs. :) It should be in the big dig folder. Unfortunately, I'm not good with Windows - hopefully someone can help you on the Windows end.

The Mojang Screen showing up means it was able to load forge and core mods. Everything else is loaded afterwards and could be caused by anything.

  10. Teleport pipes became Phased pipes. It was basically just a rename. But yeah, they are a bit buggy at the moment. Same goes for the rest of the BC pipes. Liquaducts and either Ender tanks or Liquid Tesseracts are the way to go in the newer builds of Tekkit.

Liquaducts don't transport lava though. Correct?

  11. That launcher looks amazing though.... after technic showed them up they really went all out. :P

One thing FTB has at least over Tekkit Main is more power gen options. Has anyone else noticed that nobody ever really seems to use anything from rail craft that has to do with rails? Steam power is really cool.

Thier launcher does look cool but seems too minimilist. Reminds me of the steam Libary set to Large Icons.

One thing I have to give FTB is thier launcher has more functionality. I like the ability to disable mods on the launcher. But nothings stopping you from doing it manually on Technic.

  12. Hi everyone I have 2 Questions about the new Tekkit:

1 How do I move massive amounts of Liquids now? Previously I used Pumps and Teleport Pipes, but they no longer exist :(

2 Can I upgrade machines like the pulverizer or the powered furnace so they pulverize/smelt faster?

    1. There are a few ways. You can use an Ender Tank, Tesseract, or Phase Pipe to do this. I heard phase pipes were glitched though.

2.The pulverizer is pretty fast running at full power. The Powered furnace is better for Food items though. Your better of using an induction smelter if you can keep up a supply of sand. It's much faster.

  13. Reset the Big Dig Pack, sounds like one of the mods got corrupted.

Open the Technic Launcher, click the gear button next to the BigDig icon (its the screen you can change your version in) and click on Reset Pack. This will delete everything in the BigDig folder and force a new download for the files.

Its the same on windows on linux thanks to Minecraft being a Java program.

I'm fairly certian directly isn't the same.

It would be %appdata%/.technic/bigdig on windows

  14. Launcher Version: newest

Operating System: mac OS X 10.8.4

    Java Version: Java7 Update 21

    Antivirus Program:

    Description of Problem:

when I try to open any mod pack it starts starting up then it crashes and goes away.

    Error Messages:

    Error Log:

Have you made any changes to the mods files? Optifine, Texture Pack, etc.

  15. I would get familiar with Thermal Expansion And Build Craft. Establish a stable or self sufficiant power source then start looking at components of tekkit. Minefactory reloaded is a big one.

  16. Is it fixable? I feel kinda sad that I have to carry some other kind of axe when building in my own house, because I use wood for flooring more often than not.

Possibly something in the config files which allow you to add new items. Ive only noticed it with wooden planks. I've not done anything with modded wood though so I can't speak for that.

Maybe its fixed in the newest release. On jenings a new stable is out every 3 days or so.

  17. You would need a normal transport pipe to connect the phase pipe to a machine. Most of the time they don't directly attatch.

Don't forget to have a chunk loader or dimm anchor on both ends as well.

    Edit-Misread your post

I would recommend using an Ender Chest instead.

    Do tesseracts transport items?

  18. how would i go around fixing this ?

If your having no problem connecting to other Hexxit servers then its most likely on thier end. I would tell them to replace the config folder with a fresh one from technic. I could be wrong though, I would wait on someone else to share what they think to be certian.

  19. Hi

i have a server with multiplay but their customer service is a pain in the ass

so i was hoping one of you guys could help with my problem

every time me and my friends try to join the server we get this error:

Forge Mod Loader has found ID mismatches

Complete details are in the log file

ID 18589 from mod backpack is missing

ID 816 from Mod ImmibisCore is missing

ID 5726 from Mod ImmibisCore is missing

ID 5858 is mismatched between world and game

ID 5859 is mismatched between world and game

ID 5857 is mismatched between world and game

This problem is only with my server any other server running Hexxit that i join is fine

    any ideas ?

I did have a look around the web but couldn't find anything

any and all help will be much appreciated

I'm guessing this is a case of mismatched Config Files.

  20. Yeah, that worked for me. You might want to double-check that you're using the right Optifine version, since it stays updated to the latest version of Minecraft, but Hexxit is going to remain at 1.5.2 until all the mods have caught up. So you don't want the most up-to-date version of Optifine.

Optifines not been updated to 1.6,

According to the thread and website. It's very close to completion though.
