After many tears, and self inflicted concussions from hitting my head on my desk, I found the offending mod. Removing Mystcraft solved the problem, which is probably not bad, since running Mystcraft on a mostly rule-free server is asking for trouble anyway. Thanks for the effort, friends.

Several modpacks on the Platform also provide downloads for servers with their mods that contain the necessary libraries. You could nab them from one of those if you found one that matched the minecraft version you want to use.

No dice. Even running with a mods folder copied exactly from the pack, including unnecessary ones, generates the same crash.

I managed to assemble what I would tentatively call a "working" modpack, so I decided to make it a server, in case I make some friends one day. That hasn't worked too well. Redpower's tubes. Sadly, they seem to be the only thing that no one is trying to recreate. I guess people are happy with Buildcraft pipes, but it really doesn't give me the level of control over item routing that I like. I know, Applied Energistics or Logistics Pipes, but they're just not the same.

According to your link, the Authentication Service is working fine. Isn't that the one we need to log in to the client?

I'm having the same problem. I checked and I can log in with the Vanilla launcher, so it's not a problem with my Mojang account.

Turned out running the latest 1.5.2 version of TC was all I needed to do to fix it. mDiyo is the best. I am an idiot. The pack is one I'm making, and not yet publicly available. Thanks anyway.

Hello Technicians. In my noble endeavor of making a thing out of things that other people already made, I've run into a problem with the interaction between the latest 1.5.2 versions of Railcraft and Tinkers Construct. When running the modpack with both installed, and when opening the GUI of something that uses steam (boiler, hobbyist steam engine) the game crashes with a report saying that Liquid Steam has no icon. Removing Tinkers Construct resolves this issue, but I'd like to be able to keep it if at all possible. Is this a known problem? Is there a solution easy enough for me to handle? Do I need to provide more information? Am I an imbecile?
