Did you: 1) Delete .techniclauncher folder? 2) Backup all your files and re-install windows 3) Delete Java, install the latest (7u4, link on technicpack.net at the side) 4) Update your video card drivers? From what I see on the first post, the OpenAL32.dll is giving problems. Delete it and it should work, (theoretically it should use Windows' dlls) if it doesn't, download this: http://bit.ly/KRGHiu (by yours truly) and put the contents in the bin folder. Hope I helped!

For one, why the hell did you allocate 3-4 GB to the launcher? It only needs 1GB.

If you haven't changed anything important, delete the files ending in .mca in your save folder and delete the level.dat, and rename the "level.dat_mcr" to "level.dat" and it should work. (At least that's why Jeb said)

Admin rights for EVERYTHING? They could change the "personal text" for newbs instead of making it a "title" (at least that's what I think they do)

Well since he's here... It means it can't find the file (you don't say?), try deleting the .techniclauncher folder (backup your saves!) and see if it'll work.

Go to %appdata%\.techniclauncher\logs and open the latest one (as in biggest, e.g. there are 5, pick number 5) and post its contents here.

If you want IC2 stuff, only a few things are in the "transmutation" system, e.g. dusts, copper (half the value of iron), tin (as much as iron) and more. Uranium, reinforced iron and more aren't.

Beneath a Steel Sky? It's a vm game but not sure if for DOS... It's a point-n-click game with epic grafx but no save feature (was playing, almost finished the game and then I had to go home from school >.<)

On the Dell on the snapshot it goes at 60FPS (except in jungles, there it goes ~20)

Geez, just install it yourself. It's really simple. Get a copy of MinecraftPortable or something that allows you to make another minecraft dir. (I use MagicLauncher for example, you don't need any other crap and there's built-in mod profiles support)

Never had an Asus, only Dell, msi (russian lolz), Infinity (I hope you know what that means), and lenovo (a tiny-arse 10" computer). What bugs me is that I have a 1/5th of the HDD space of a tiny-arse lenovo 10" notebook ;_;

Snapshots are like technic dev builds without the mods.. They're highly unstable, buggy as hell, but have new features. I always use new snapshots (and technic dev builds :>) and they're just epic. I only played 12w18a for a few hours but I didn't experience any bugs afaik. Strangely enough I actually have 60FPS when playing 12w18a and 1-10FPS on 1.2.5/technic (I always set 256mb for vanilla)
