  1. The difference between Attack of the Bteam and the insanity called Omega adventure pack, dubbed by me as the Omega Messpack, is, well, insane. The main reason I've seen the console freeze is utter and pure log spam, what size are your technic logs? I've seen the console freeze above 1 MB worth of log each second.
  2. If you use the regular download for Java, regardless of it being latest or not, it WILL be the 32-bit version, meaning you can only use 1 GB max. Assuming windows: Download the Offline version, the one that says 64-bit. https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
  3. I've just tried it, had no issues with the ritual. See screenshot for my setup: https://imgur.com/0HPk7or You do have the infernal animus on the ground, right? Not in your inventory? Minor note: The chat message is me retrying the ritual with not enough altar power available to see if that might be the cause or not.
  4. Make sure to zip the bin/config/mods folder directly, not the folder those are in. If you zip the folder, you get the issue you describe (and that's why there's a Test folder in your second link).
  5. Have you tried allocating more RAM to the game?
  6. What is supposed to happen is that your browser opens and you login there. On certain branches of Linux, this causes issues as the way to open the browser doesn't work there. It freezing is just the launcher waiting, and only waiting, on the browser login to return a token.
  7. That's a deleted modpack. That said, you could ask in their discord which is provided on their technicpack page: https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/city-life-1710.1772363/about
  8. Did you extract Forge? Don't. Also, modpack.jar.jar, and there's a modpack.zip there as well. And don't capitalize your folders, keep them all lowercase. Also, why is there another mods.zip in your mods folder?
  9. There's a copy of your zipped mods folder in your bin folder? Where's Forge? Also, you zipped the folder containing the bin/mods folder. Don't, zip these directly.
  10. Pastes cannot be viewed and the download location links back to this forum.
  11. Have you tried logging in with a microsoft account, as there's a seperate button for it?
  12. Yes, and normally, it tells you before or after WHY it couldn't create the java virtual machine, or what the fatal exception was. Which is what is actually useful.
  13. Technic is currently not compatible with Forge 1.17 and 1.18.
  14. You are the first here to mention ANY issues running the launcher due to windows 10, EXCEPT if you are using a very old Intel chip (which has issues with java being over version 8u51, or if its even older, just plain incompatible with minecraft).
  15. "Optionally, try going to %appdata%\.technic\"
  16. You cannot allocate 8 GB if you don't have it available.
  17. Its not stuck there, its a 300MB+ mod, and the last time that bar was changed to represent actual filesize, a lot of stuff broke.
  18. You seem to have fixed this yourself, did you rename the resourcepack? Also, please do not include your 1.2 GB cache folder, nor a 3.8 GB Heap file in your config -> spark folder thanks.
  19. Installer forge can only be used for the latest version of forge for 1.12.2 and for 1.13+. Use Forge Universal for anything lower.
  20. Did you include installer forge or universal forge?
  21. Logging in with a microsoft account works quite a bit different than the old Mojang Email way. Blame Mojang/Microsoft for that, they promised a solution for months, then just stopped caring about it.
  22. Do not add Optifine to a 1.7.10 modpack that contains Fastcraft, as you get this crash.
  23. It doesn't freeze, it is waiting for the reply from the browser that pops up and where you actually log in to.
  24. The particular error report you provided stated the following: Memory: 4k page, physical 8338684k(4094880k free), swap 8338684k(2480228k free) Which is less than (the error): Native memory allocation (mmap) failed to map 4294967296 bytes for Failed to commit pages from 0 of length 1048576 By about 100 MB to be exact. Technic works a bit different than the regular launcher in that it reserves the RAM you give it, instead of just slowly grabbing more and more and then causing issues, like regular minecraft.
  25. If you try to allocate 4 GB, make sure you have that 4 GB available to be allocated. Otherwise, you get this.
