Eh as long as you don't go sifting through NEI too much right at the start, you shouldn't get too overwhelmed. I recommend only using NEI or the wiki when you decide there is something you want to accomplish, in order to figure out how to best do so. Tekkit starts out much the same as standard minecraft, with the exception of having a few more resource types available.

Really? Personally I think it would be easier to learn it all together than to play minecraft plain before tekkit. There are some things you have to unlearn from Minecraft when you pick up tekkit.

Well then, only thing I can think of is maybe your Tekkit server jar is corrupted. I'd try redownloading it.

right click on the batch file and go to edit. Make sure that is all on one line. it was broken up weirdly on the logs you posted so make sure it's correct in the actual bat file.

ooh ooh, recreate Rata Sum from Guild Wars 2. It's a giant floating cube rotated so theres a corner going straight down, and the corner that faces straight up has been torn off and floats as a smaller cube up above it. The area inside where the corner was torn off on top of the big cube is where the city is located.

On its own? Thaumcraft. It's not my favorite mod in a large pack, but as a standalone it is the most complete and could practically be played as a total conversion.

Just start making a list and checking licenses. A lot of mod authors don't even ask that you contact them, just that they're given credit. The hard part will be making sure everything works well together.

So that's interesting. I upgraded to Minecraft 1.3.2 and even with a bunch of mods it's running great even with every setting available cranked up and modded 64x sphax. I'd guess that it was a threading issue of some sort, but that's weird since 1.2.5 worked great before my hiatus and driver upgrade. Oh well, not sure why I'd expect something in the minecraft engine to make sense Sorely missing RedPower, but getting along without it. Thanks again for trying, blob face.

Heh my onboard video sucks enough it probably wouldn't even be able to launch the game I've also got it disabled in my BIOS. Added the program profile anyway, but no change. Thanks for trying, though.
