  1. When I say everywhere, I mean everywhere. I don't know if some of the light's didn't save right or what, but some of the floors were absolutely full of skeletons and creepers. had tried both flipping once, and a back and forth. The cart entities seemed to actually get stuck, they were vibrating in place when they tried to move didn't see a lever in the darkness Pretty good design as long as there's enough lighting to keep mobs out.
  2. Looks great, but it's got some problems. First of all, not nearly enough lighting - mobs are spawning everywhere. I'll get back to that in a moment. When I entered the tower with the helipad, the minecart elevator worked once to go to the basement, worked once to go back to floor 1, then stopped working. The pistons that open and close the access to the sorted chests weren't firing, at all. Had to break the wood to get in there. A mob got in the way and split the minecart from the chestcart. Stopped exploring just after that, as a creeper spawned and blew up half the room.
  3. There's been some smaller ones on there. There's a 20 slot right now, that's relatively small. You see the post quality also means they have to remain up to date and be well maintained, and if a server's all full up they're not going to put too much effort into advertising it anymore.
  4. yeah that would be a nice way to get unlimited ice. snow golem prancing about, block breakers taking the snowballs, obsidian pipe or something to pull the snowballs into the compressor
  5. I believe the deluxe server rating is based solely on quality of the post.
  6. Well, tried it again. Laggy as hell most of the time I was on today, and there were absolutely no cows or pigs spawning anywhere.
  7. yeah it doesn't matter. All that matters is the distance, and I think you probably have enough distance. You need every chunk along the path to be loaded if you're not using teleporters. Or you could use teleporters and only have to have the source and destination chunks loaded.

    Ugocraft?

Ah that's true. For some reason I was thinking the Questions sub-board was all there was to the Modder's area.
  9. you probably need a teleport tether or world anchor to keep both the quarry and your base loaded.

    Ugocraft?

oh awesome, thanks. Nice job Jakj -- well I haven't tried it yet, but I'm assuming nice job Damn forum was giving me database errors anytime I tried to search for something like that, but managed to get it through the profile page.

    Ugocraft?

maybe not a glitch, but I see it as such. Perhaps a design flaw instead. Where a small pool of water will infinitely create new source blocks instead of drying up if you take the existing source blocks. I think water should be a limited resource like lava and oil when you're not near the ocean.

    Ugocraft?

ah laggy, that's unfortunate. I noticed it added a bunch of other stuff... all I really wanted was to fix the infinite water pool glitch XD

I was actually looking at that mod just last night... any premade files or tips on that specific one?
  14. Looks like it's back up now.
  15. Zeppelin mod barely works in SSP, so... yeah.
  16. that site isn't lying, minecraft.net IS up. Only the authentication server is down.
  17. because your friend's server isn't down, only the login/authentication server is down.
  18. There is a play offline mode after it fails to connect. Play Offline sucks though, a lot of shit relies on your playername staying the same, and you lose your name if you're offline.
  19. Well, not entirely true. It's one vein per chunk, but veins can range from like 1 to 6 diamonds each. So you could theoretically find a map that has several nearby chunks with 6 diamonds each, I suppose. Pretty unlikely, though.
  20. The answer is yes, your dick will fit.
  21. if only there were a browser-based tekkit... or, you know, better login servers...
  22. I never got into San Andreas for some reason. Didn't care for the gang takeover thing for starters, and it just seemed to start off real slowly compared to the others. Vice City is still the best.
  23. all of them say >currently unable to check status oh boy... anyway, minecraft.net is up, but the authentication server is having issues and Mojang is too stingy to set up a backup auth server :p
  24. Only got to try this out for 15 minutes or so. Seems pretty nice, good balance of what's available and what isn't. Nice people, though they're a bit overzealous with their residence protections, making it hard to move about sometimes. Seemed pretty fast at first but started getting lag once I started mining, then the server went down. I'll try again later.
  25. Well said. Really, anything combined with EE becomes super easy. Once you've found one diamond, EE makes resource gathering a joke and you'll soon have enough diamonds for transmutation tools, and enough uranium to transmute into stacks upon stacks of more diamonds.
