  1. p.s. It was under the admins House

He's going to be pissed. You can probably say goodbye to playing on that server. Either that, or fix it fast. Which I doubt you will be able to do.

    Wow we're dicks.

    Yes we are.

    I also like your image.

  2. I'm pretty sure the title is self explanatory. The recent update for Minecraft has allowed stairs and h-bricks to be placed on the ceiling, and in the stair's case, upside down. This both allows for higher resolution bit art, and for better diagonal construction.

I myself have no opinion as of yet, but for those of you who have actually played vanilla since the last update, I would like to hear your opinion.

  3. So I've seen people recently having all kinds of unfortunate stuff happening to them because they are backseat modding.

I'm kinda getting worried, because I normally reply to posts not in the right spot by directing them to the right area, and I don't want to be one of those people who gets in trouble for it.

So if one of the mods could clarify what is okay to do and what isn't okay to do so that they don't wind up getting punished. Like is it okay to point people to the right thread, is it okay to tell them to search the forum, stuff like that.

  4. well yes that makes since but i have a friend who gets around 45 fps and he dosent even have a gameing comp.

I've found out that Minecraft affects the computer in different ways than normal games do. On my newer computer, I can't play with the mods because everything is in slow mo' and then it crashes. On my super old 10 year computer, with the options set pretty low, I can actually play it... that is, until it crashes too for an unknown reason.

  5. I never had a problem with setting up two combustion engines to run a refinery. Actually, the only problem I did have, was that I made my building for it just a little too small, and the pipes kinda got in the way. It did look cool though because the pipes came in through the walls. I also had no problem adding in a third engine. It was a pain to get them synced up properly, but once I did that, my refinery was working pretty fast. I think I had to eventually turn it off because my fuel tanks filled up.

  6. I just make my house and make sure the area around it is well lit. Most of the time I just play on peaceful because my computer makes it too laggy to properly deal with deadly mobs. On the first night I also make sure that the area around my crude shelter's entrance is lit well enough I don't get mauled when I leave.

  7. I do find Somnia annoying because it sometimes doesn't make a difference. May as well wait the 9 minutes night lasts and actually do stuff instead of waiting about three or four and not being able to do anything at all. I tend to organize my chests during the night during vanilla, or take stock of what I have and what I need to get the next day. Trivial things like that.

  8. IC2 has a forcefield generator in the works. You have to do a little looking through the wiki to find the actual page, but it's there. From what I remember, the more power going into it the bigger the field. It will also be toggleable with a remote, and, if I understand it correctly, do damage to anything that touches it.

  9. There's a mod that lets you rename yourself in game. Have you checked out if that mod works for SMP?

I do believe there is, because the one server I used to play on had some screwy mods on it. (It was Criken's server, for those of you who know or care.) One day I logged into it and found that some of the people had dick put into their name. There was one guy named Newguy and his was changed to Newdick or something like that. One of the mods actually changed her name. So I assume that there is a name changing mod out there, I just don't know where they got it from, and the users themselves couldn't change their name.

  10. If you're going to get a game on the computer, I recommend you get a Steam account and get it through that. Can't beat being able to take your games with you anywhere without having to worry about losing/damaging the disk. Not to mention the fact that it also has a pretty sizable collection of popular games that can also work on Macs. You know, in case if you actually are one of those mythic mac 'gamers'.

  11. I'm not entirely sure where the sound files are supposed to be located for Matmos. I think it may be under the resource folder in the folder that the installer created for the game. Maybe take a look to see if the files are actually there?

I think the sounds would be under a folder called mods, or something like that. I don't know if it's in another folder in the resource folder. I don't have the actual game files with me right now, so this may be completely incorrect.
