Excuse me for seeing gavjenk's post about opening up applications and posting after it.

In my opinion it depends what you are working on. If it has a lot of covers panels wiring and tubing, the red matter tools wreck everything even when fully drained (that shift v/e thing) I prefer the dark matter due to the reasonable cutting speed which doesn't feel uncontrollable

If anyone needs help from a 23 yr old engineer on tekkit related builds let me know. I also am quite creative in buildings around machines/instruments I have made. I would love to work on an adventure map or something similar

They obviously intended tin to be craftable into buckets, and yes its reasonable because tin is rarer than iron. Yes, it is odd that using IC2 and RP2 we can magically perform a bit of nuclear fission to create Fe from Tin, but this is Minecraft, not real life, and having two different objects that do the exact same thing would be unnecessary.

Unfortunately, there is a mod that has full dimensional anchors, but it only works through Minecraft 1.3. Just wait a week or two and it will be available. I forget which block from which mod does this however... I think I heard it in some DW20 video some time ago

I see you guys aren't accepting many people right now, but I'm very experienced in all mods, looking for a very mature group to start large projects with. (1000 eu/t isn't doing it for me anymore.) Let me know if you guys would consider another player! Cheers

Yea, I know, I respect Slowpoke but I fear for the end user in this case because we have a relatively small selection of mods to choose from and I fear some may go one way or the other. If you watch the ForgeCraft SMP youtube videos going on now, its crazy how close these mod authors are to one another. I hope because how close they are that none of them would do anything drastic, but I feel for instance, covert jaguar, is ticked off enough to just file a cease and disist towards technic. And the Minecraft 1.3.2 SMP update would be the time to break away, which is why I am asking the question if anyone has heard anything.

Are any mods such as railcraft or redpower not being used in the [1.3.2] tekkit version due to the recent say... clashes between technic and the mod authors? I like the fact that tekkit will have competition from FTB, but I hope it doesn't divide the community so that neither pack is as good as tekkit used to be.

Hey, 23 years old, almost 3 years playing minecraft, 1 year on tekkit smp. I'm currently wasting my time on some massive multiplayer servers and would REALLY like to do some awesome things with 2-3 other smart dedicated people like myself. Put me in a room with a box of frames redpower wires and motors and I could spend the rest of the day in there.
