Most people say that nuking taint down to bedrock doesn't work. They just didn't try enough nukes. You see, any problem in tekkit can be solved with enough nukes. It took about a stack of nukes, but the entire taint zone was unable to spread as the only remaining taint blocks were in the cracks in bedrock. It didn't look pretty, but it worked, and got me a lot of crystals.

Try overclocking them or using rotary. Four overclockers and two macerators is all it takes. Gold pipes don't actualy have any effect on the rate at which a system gets items, only the speed of the items themselves. if all the pipe ever carries is cobblestone, it has no effect on how fast your chests fill up with cobblestone, there's just more in the pipe. It doesn't really even matter if the items are different, as all the items still travel at the same speed. Gold pipes are fun, but don't really make any difference for anything.

Those are ridiculously OP, they cost nearly nothing to set up, and make more EMC than an array of mark three collectors.

A computer might be more compact and ultimatly less expensive, but you can just have timers make the ratios. one transposer pulses every eight seconds, while another pulses every second.

If you can make it yourself micro center (.com) has the best prices. My computer has 8 gigs of ram, can support 8 more, I can get a 1 gig video card for $30, right now I use the 256 or whatever it is that came with the mother board, decent sound card that also came with the mother board, 4 core micro processor, and two 500 gig hard drives (in a RAID). The best part is that, the total cost for everything but the hard drives only came up to $250 total (already owned the hard drives). It runs everything totaly lag free.

You can mold the portal with water and lava, and if you want to get things out of the nether, use two ender chests and buildcraft.

I think that gem armor is hard enough to get that it isn't op, especialy considering that it only takes 2 super creepers to kill you, which you get a lot of because of the lightning strikes. So, what will hapen if I click "open to LAN?" I know about bukkit and forge, but I assumed that forge was used to some degree on the server as well. I'm actualy pretty clueless about how tekkit actualy works.

I know it hasn't been updated yet, but when it is I hope it's a moot point. It's going to be cool when it's all updated, because it all has to be multiplayer, so thaumcraft, logistics, and mystcraft will all be in tekkit, and there will be no technic ssp and tekkit smp anymore, just the technic pack, because all the mods have to be multiplayer, at least so far as LAN is concerned!
