Now this does seem like a fair enough idea. I don't have any questions, major feedback, and I can't mod, so I don't know why I'm commenting here except for something-to-do's sake, but anyways...
-
That... that is creepy, dude. Very creepy.
-
Wow... I actually didn't think it was possible to agree with someone that much.
-
I didn't say it was right. I simply decreased the imposed wrongness of the situation. But I won't argue with you any longer. It's Christmas and most likely the guy who posted this won't be seen for another ten years, by which point he'll be some crazy EE mastermind with a diamond battleaxe and a shotgun... in real life.
-
Give him a break, dude, pretty much every new user has posted in this forum ideas for existing mods to be packed into Technic. @slicebananas: Sorry to say it, slicebananas, but you just so happen to have yourself a post in the wrong section. This here place is for asking people to make you mods.

Obviously quite a bit, my friend. Obviously quite a bit.

Normally I would go on about other business-feline-related stuff, but I feel it would ruin the magic of the occasion if I just derailed the thread.
-
Business cat is a wise source of information, I must say.

Guys, I heard that EE3 is planning to add 'wires' that will be able to transport EMC. Either this is such a good idea even the developer of the mod came to the same conclusion for his complete overhaul, or some higher power has seen our idea! Either way, this is looking good for us!
-
Guys do we even need reasons to not put this in the pack? Here's my reason - this is a stupid idea.
-
Now that is probably the one good philosophy in life, kiddo. You're a genius.
-
Yes... You bet I understand. And if I knew anything about coding, anything at all, I would do it. But alas, I cannot, and thus the only two people within two miles who seem to understand anything about what a Time and Relative Dimensions in Space module even is shall be sad. *Pats you on back and begins to sob too*
-
Yes... Like everything inside is stored in another dimension... Now that is TARDIS-like! I like it!
-
Fair enough. I'll take that in mind if this project ever gets off the ground.
-
There are two ways to do this - ask permission, Slowpoke-style, or just not give a craz.
-
Okay, sorry. I know this isn't a real excuse, but I use the MCForums alot and I know now that the rules are alot better enforced here than they are over there. I won't do it again.
-
Really? Noone's interested? Yeah, I know bumping is bad, but I reckon this would make a great replacement for Treecapitator and give back some of the usefulness of the Chainsaw and the Axe of the Stream.
-
Whoops, nevermind this post, my browser made me double.

Didn't we discuss this? If we didn't, I'll go over the plan again; Yes, pure EMC with no supporting additional energy, the consumption rate is high. However, Stabiliser Field Emitters would reduce EMC consumption when input with IC2 power, Blutricity and I reckon BC power too. And yes, I was thinking it would explode with too much input, makes sense. Too much power? Bam. Whoops. bye-bye all my diamonds and my hard-earned EMC cables and such. Should think a little harder next time. Also, I assumed the Emitter would be like a repeater+torch, which conducts the Stabiliser Field around all the cables within so many blocks, as well as conducting the EMC itself. Man, I'm going to post all this on the OP, this needs some clearing up. Yes, read my above post, that should clear things up a little. Dafuq? This isn't screwing with anyone's code. New Vanilla updates that add new Redstone machines don't screw with her code, so how does out little plugin here?

Basically, here's the deal - make Logs and Leaves into falling blocks that do a bit more damage than Sand and Gravel do - but make Logs drop four Wood Blocks, which resemble a quarter of a Log akin to the quarter-block Greatwoods, and are crafted at a ratio of 1:1 into Planks. Wood Blocks would not be gravity blocks, but could be crafted into regular Log blocks at 4:1. And that's it. Treefelling will be greatly improved, and the fact that gravity blocks have to 'update' before falling, that would make it even better - cut down the root block, the entire trunk falls down a bit, and any branches and/or Leaves will fall down too. So - anyone want to make this? I'm thinking it would make a great replacement to Timber! or Treecapitator, because it would bring back the usefulness of the Axe of the Stream and the Chainsaw, which was removed when Treecapitator was added.
-
I guess you're right. Still, in terms of chance, I'm more likely to get someone else to make it than to be heard by Pahimar or whoever's working on EE these days in the Suggestions forum.
-
Oh, right - makes sense, I guess. Otherwise EMC being lost every few blocks don't make sense, do it?
-
Oh yes. And yes, of course there'd be a limit - surpass this limit and boom, your diamonds are wasted.
-
Fair enough. But I'm thinking you have Stabiliser Mesh as the pipes, and you connect them to the Stabiliser Field Emitter and the metal that the pipes are made of - which I'm thinking of as being Gold because in Minecraft Gold has magic-conducting properties - would conduct some sort of magnetic condensing field that is emitted from the Stabiliser Field Emitter. Sound okay?
