for all i've noticed playing it the further you get from the spawn the harder the areas are ( areas = biome's ) i dont think it has anything to do with world-gen ( new biome's would have a level relative to your own ) two reasons #1 once i was floating around a damn large ocean, over 2k blocks long the diffrent islands had levels depending on their location ( middle one was like lv20, further ones were lv25, the continent on the other side was lv30+ ) #2 after retracing my steps going back towards spawn around lv 24 i went through a different route and world-gen was generating those areas weren't relative to my own level, they were relative to the "areas" around them so if you want to get a high level area.. click on F3 and travel straight in one of directions

not the game, just try to login to your account through that site... and if you get a white screen, your java isn't installed correctly

soz you know it was leading there, your expecting us to do all the work check where you installed it, make sure its in place and installed properly *again i start with cmd* try launching it blank, does it still give you the same message? "c:\program files\java\jre7\bin\java" -version ^ example code

funny thing i just answered that question in a different tread when you select the mod pack your using in the technic launcher click the little "mods" button near the login area ( bottom right ) it will open a text file that lists the mods you can turn off just change x_mod_name = on to x_mod_name = off

sir, you indeed are so bloody lucky relatively speaking you don't even begin to realize how lucky you are =P relatively to me that is xP ontopic allocating more ram wont increase how fast technic or minecraft work, it may only make it either smoother or the contrary ^ - translating all the wise words said by the people here - so if you want it to be faster, check the optifine ( video ) settings and so on... @Jgm to disable millenaire open the technic launcher select technic in the upper left corner click on mods bottom part of the window, it will open a text file search for mileanaire and change it from on to off to disable Ic2 sounds go to %appdata%\.techniclauncher\technicssp\config edit IC2.cfg, find "soundsEnabled=true" change it to "soundsEnabled=false"

well if your windows shell (if that's the proper term) launches windows installer instead the java your environment variables are messed up.. or aren't there at all, not sure but inorder to be sure, try this script... "c:\program files\java\jre7\bin\java" -jar "c:\users\yourusername\desktop\technic-launcher-latest.jar ^ just an example, you should know how to modify those paths just leave the " in there ( cant use spaces in cmd ) save the script as a .bat and launch it [ self explanatory really, but less loose ends ] if it gives you the 'same' error- i'd suggest you get rid of java and reinstall it

are you the only one that can't use them? you may have a diffren't block id for the advanced machine block than the ones the server uses, ask on their forums for which are in use or if there are config files available

i dont think were talking about the same jar here !! this is the one your supposed to be launching with your jre http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/technic-launcher-latest.jar ( rightclick > save as > launch it )

insert "your doing it wrong" meme here how did you mix windows installer into this mate... this is really simple. if you cant fallow that, and still want assistance... describe the steps you took thus far. for our lol's

you may have several versions of java installed, the log you uploaded didn't specify which java is being used try a script such as.. "c:\program files\java\jre7\bin\java" -jar "C:\tekkit_server\tekkit.jar" pause ^ just an example ofc, but it allows you to specify which java your using edit: save it as a .bat file and double click to launch edit2: make sure you place it inside the folder where your server is located for it will place the configuration files same place it is located

you may find this interesting, mate basically reinstall your java, make sure your using 64bit jre 7 if your comp & os are 64bit its common issue and it has been stickied for a while.. why am i "so sure" that's your issue? open your log, occasionally you get the message saying.. Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/minecraft/server/mod_IC2AdvancedMachines : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 as in the name of the stickied tread good luck mate

the only truly "common" issue here is people who try technic for the first time and cant get it running was replaying to you when i was falling asleep mate so i totally missed that one line =P im no expert on java but could someone to is prove me wrong does this little bit from the launch log suggest javaws ( java web start ) is being used where instead the regular java should be?

did it crash when you tried your old world or when you tried connecting to a server?

you don't say....... the F***** MAGIC WORDS and if you don't there isn't anyone that cant help you but yourself. you do know you need to be running the server with java 7 ?

im guessing the server and the wood issues are separate does it happen in new single player worlds? did you try reinstalling the mod pack ( ignoring your backup )?

give us some insight, place the .jar technic launcher on the desktop open up cmd, ( java -jar c:\users\yourname\desktop\technic-launcher-latest.jar ) copy the errors you say and post them here. and read it again... you would make it easier for everyone including yourself if you do it right

Hah yea, computers to run the machines and frames to move the players !! ( yup it uses RP2PR5 featuring computers and frames pumps and what not! :3 )
