mate you shouldn't be using any linux unless you either know what your doing or you are willing to learn if i were with your shoes i would have googled every single command from that .bat file >_> im refreshing my memory, just downloaded the tekkit server.. lets see how complicated it is.... *all anxious* java -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui pause dude seriouslly... 1__ the code edit the pause out of there, in linux the code should be java -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui the pause is only there so the cmd window wouldn't close after executing the code, in ubuntu it is not the case. 2_ file type change the file's extension to .sh ( right click it, rename, change the .bat to .sh ) 3_ permissions right click it, click on properties go to permissions ( 2n'd tab ) where it says " Execute: [ ] Allaw executing file as program " tick that box i do hope you know what to do next for it will work as good as it would on windows...

magic launcher supports several versions of mod packs aswell these days, it's gotten allot of work put into it since it was first released, also it keeps the source .minecraft vanilla and installs the mods on the go as you launch login through it besides the MultiMC for linux doesn't work >_> offtopic note right there

i always feel so much dejavu when i see a tread about a forum's resident being kicked out.. a long time ago i was a resident of one, sticked with it since the start and for over 6 years, over 10k posts and what not.. basically raised it as my little baby xP till a point where some raging child called for the support of the new underage modders and got me a little temp ban, my old matey the owner decided to support it for the children didn't understand any post longer than two lines or what not.. so i left getting rid of a resident isn't as easy as it looks from a side and its my place as a newcomer to say it.. my case my gf left soon after that, so what's a dropout got besides those two..i joined the army, did bit more drugs than before... but this isn't about me. i wish ya all the best ya bad ass cat~

im //pretty// sure its in 1.2.3, no idea about 1.2.5 however you could check either using NEI.. or clicking on Mods on the technic launcher main page.. or navigating to your %appdata%\.techniclauncher\technicpack\mods and looking for it there aint hard man have fun

haven't really playe smp with it ( never died neither tbh, no clue how where or as what your respawn if you do at all >_> ) but yeah.. haven't play smp.. the internet here in the middle east is worse than a half rotted hamster trying to run on a wheel for his last time... all it needs is an overdose of morphine.. you get the point mate :(

open CMD and write "java" if it DOESN'T tells you operators you can use on that command you haven't installed java correctly... in which case you seriously should reinstall it... but you could also open a text editor and write.. lets say....... cd c:\program files\java\bin ## check that location to see if its correct ( aka 1- leads to where your java is installed, 2- the folders aren't empty, 3- you see a file called java inside , im on linux so yeah... java -jar c:\users\-yourusername-\desktop\technic-launcher-latest.jar the ## is a comment shoved in the middle, don't place it in your script.. it would make you looks silly mate then save that little tiny script as ImANewb.bat and double click if it works... if it doesn't make sense just reinstall java ( prior to that make sure, doublecheck, triple, quad, whateverthefuck-check that you removed ALL of the instances of java from your machine )

the .techniclauncher FOLDER is located next to your .minecraft folder hint hint %appdata% and dont you use TMI mate... technic pack has NEI installed ( unless im high on pot right now and took it from up my ass for some reason ) what error does it give you when you try placing "technic-launcher-latest.jar" on your desktop?

might be java! says sir obvious.. java 6 runs better also do a clean reinstall, backup saves, delete technicpack inside .technic ( %appdata% ) open the launcher, click clear cache and launch it over ( rebooting and doing a moondance may help aswell !!! but not prayer, nope.. im sorry )
