additionally, vanilla servers don't belong here at all, in any section. we're all about modded minecraft, in case you hadn't noticed with the mods and the packs and things.

I just asked sct(the guy who wrote the code for platform), the download counts are accurate. they don't stop updating for no reason or any reason really. regardless, why is this even a thing you are having a cow over?

when i travel trough ages i always carry a linking book to the nether(since there is only 1 nether) then in the nether i have a linking book back to the overworld

here is my suggestion: assuming you are talking about spawning in items and such, find a server where you are not admin and start playing there. you will be unable to cheat, even if you want to.

if you're trying to do something that needs 120 tesseracts, you should either have the resources/motivation to make them or you are doing something terribly wrong and don't actually need that many if you planned it out a little better. anything requiring that much crap generally means the player building it is well supplied in the first place.
also, as others have said, tesseracts aren't even expensive. EE3 turns iron into ender pearls, which solves the hardest part of the problem. the rest is cake to get in large amounts.

most of the compatibility happens because of forge, anything else is usually accomplished via config alterations or in rare cases talking to the mod author to get features implemented. in general, most mods work together pretty well on their own nowadays.

I really just think that the New Tekkit news more ways to make power as in like Solar Panels and stuff like that. Nuclear Power would be a cool thing to have as well.
while I don't know specifics, I know that there are plans in the works for improved power generation.

what I hear you saying is that you want RP2 and IC2 because you enjoy them and know how they work. that's totally cool, and it is pretty much the entire reason the technic platform exists. you don't have to be tied down to the official technic packs, you could make your own or find one someone else made that agrees with your tastes. installation is a snap and no technical knowledge is required if you're just using someone's pack on the platform.
that would probably get you the end result you desire a lot faster and easier than lobbying the technic team to put those mods back in the pack, as there are many reasons they were removed and not all of them are simple fixes (don't ask me to list them because even I do not know, I'm just a moderator.)

since there is no longer a difference between single and multiplayer, from a technical standpoint, there is no longer a need for a separate single player version of the pack.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this replaces the tekkit.jar as the startup jar. Wouldn't that be considered running MCPC+ instead of Tekkit?
Keep in mind I'm not running Tekkit Classic, but Tekkit Server (or as I've seen some people call it, Tekkit Space).
there's nothing special about tekkit's server file. what makes tekkit tekkit are the mods it comes with. doing what niavmai suggests will fix your problem and allow you to run bukkit plugins just like your son wants while still keeping all the tekkit stuff intact.

yeah man, those lazy fucks are having a good time without putting in the hard work that they should have to put in to enjoy themselves when they're playing a game. fucking terrible, man. this is minecraft, not your grandma's fucking pong games! you shouldn't just be able to do what you want in a time frame of less than 3 weeks. what are these people, some kind of "adults" with their so-called "jobs" and lame excuses like "responsibilities" for not having 8+ hours a day to spend in the mines like the rest of us? assholes like that don't deserve to even have a 3x3x3 dirt hut, real talk.

the technic packs aren't actually about stuffing everything possible into one pack. if you want to see what that looks like, check out the plus+ packs as that literally is the goal of those packs.
I find having multiple ways to do any given thing to be rather nice, as sometimes one mod's particular method of operation works better for whatever I'm making than another one does. obviously, it's all personal preference of course and no one is going to force you to play tekkit lite if you don't want to. just play what you like, who cares if others agree with you?
