either way, I somehow doubt whoever you're complaining about is less of a "nincompoop" than you are at this point. congrats on looking like a total nubcake.

tekkit has them both and has for a while. I think big dig does as well, but I'm not 100% sure on that. tekkit lite, tekkit classic, and yogsbox are basically legacy packs at this point that are still around due to popularity but not updated, and hexxit really isn't aimed at technical mods like LP or AE.

I wouldn't hold your breath for tekkit lite updates. the current tekkit is basically the updated tekkit lite.

first of all, this isn't the section for technical support.
second, nothing that shows up in the console is magically absent from the log files. you're looking in the wrong log file, probably.
third, no one is going to download your corrupt world file just to verify that it is indeed borked.
fourth, if your computer straight up crashed in the middle of play, chances are you are simply not going to be able to recover the world unless you had a backup. there isn't any magic wand for that kind of catastrophic failure.
fifth, when you are looking for technical help, glossing over every important detail by saying you didn't read the errors, or otherwise couldn't be assed to gather any pertinent details and instead presenting a story devoid of relevant information is the worst way to go about getting help.

well, what I was saying was than when a modpack is loaded to tell the JVM that Minecraft is using to add
" -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true" after "-Xmx(number of GBs)G" because thats what you do in the default launcher to make forge launch no-mater what.
that is exactly what I'm talking about. no idea if that will be implemented, but I wouldn't count on it.

knowing that in a later update this won't be a problem is good.
but, what I was asking was if the launcher would use those forge codes when ever a modpack is launched. meh, good enough.
I have no idea if there will be some way to set the arguments passed in automatically through the platform/solder. my guess would be no, but anything is possible I suppose.

the old launcher actually allowed arguments like that to be passed along to minecraft when launched. that feature is going to be coming back in the new launcher soon. when that happens, just launch the launcher with those args and it will work. until then, there's not much you can do.
there probably won't be a UI for it, as this is a pretty advanced feature and only really used by a handful of people who generally know what they're doing.

How did you get those shirts anyway? Did Mojang/Curse/someone else give them to you for free? Or did you pay for them out of your own pocket(s)?
Also, I was watching the livestream about it. I am surprised no-one asked about the relationship between FTB and Tekkit, at least from what I saw.
technic has their own T-shirt hookup internally.

Anything that would go into minecraft.jar goes into modpack.jar. That includes the things you mentioned. Since you didn't actually specify, did you try that already, and did it produce the error you're talking about?

like disconsented said, try putting the stuff into modpack.jar. if you've tried this and it didn't work, what happened instead?

you could have just said "it's broke" and it would have been about as informative. try being a little more specific. things like error messages and/or logs help. a lot.

we're here. like cheap said, probably no one wants to. I, too, would like to know what is so terribly important about having the account straight up deleted as opposed to simply never using it again.

:siren:if you're still having problems launching tekkit classic, restart and/or redownload the launcher and try it again BEFORE making a new thread about it here.
if you are still having issues, ask yourself 1 question: "does a separate minecraft window ever appear?"
if yes: post your issue here as usual.
if no: post in the launcher bug section because it is a launcher issue and does not belong anywhere near here.

what part of "I am simplifying it for a non techie person" did you not understand? just because it isn't the only factor doesn't mean it isn't a major one. post your wiki links to someone who cares and/or doesn't actually understand the subject.

by this logic, just about anything with a brand name on it is not ok. you can find some kind of "x wouldn't exist without y which x didn't create" for literally anything. that said, shirts that just said "technic" with no logos or anything else would be pretty lame shirts.
