Okay. Now. For the third time I will give you a very simple set of instructions, and you will follow them exactly, without doing anything else in the middle. Open your control panel and uninstall every Java version that exists there. Reboot your computer. Now open C:\Program Files and delete the Java folder. Reboot again. Now go to java.com/download and download Java 7u7. When it finishes downloading, install it. Now reboot a third time and screenshot your C:\Program Files\Java\jre7 folder and "Programs and Features" window again. -

OSX 10.4.2 includes only Java 5. On the Mac, Technic absolutely requires Java 6. The launcher cannot do anything for you without the right version of Java. -

What I want are screenshots of your "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7" folder and of your "Programs and Features" window with Java 7u7 highlighted. Because "Can't find Java directory" means that a) there's no Java available from your registry, there's no Java findable in your program files folder, and c) there's no Java in your path. -

That's not what you were asked to do. I asked you to use the control panel to uninstall Java. This problem is listed in the common problems thread, and it means solely that your install of Java is corrupt. Did you download Java 7u7 x64 from http://java.com/download as I told you to? Oh, if only it truly was just one. Your problems are not unique, they are not new, and they are not Technic's fault. They are solely because you and hundreds of other people exactly like you refuse to read and carefully follow directions. In fact if you continue to have problems with this simple task, I suspect Tekkit is not suited for your level of computer proficiency. -

If your password and login work with the regular minecraft launcher, then they will work with the Technic launcher. Use your own information and download your own completely fresh tekkit. We can't help you if you're using a cracked copy as that would help any pirates that wish to steal Minecraft. -
That's what I've been doing. At least for the common solutions that aren't actually listed in the big thread.

Probably uninstalling and reinstalling a newly-downloaded Java is all that's required to fix the bug. Going from 7 to 6 forces that reinstall same as if they followed the bloody directions to uninstall and reinstall an up-to-date Java.

I think I've exhausted all the ideas I have. Try asking someone in the Technic bug board if they know what's going on, that's really where this belongs in the first place.

Try trashing your Library/Application Support/techniclauncher folder (backup any saved worlds first) and making the whole pack redownload. Something's off in your mod config files.

Should have mentioned earlier, the "post-loading bar" in the task manager should just be called "java.exe". You can get rid of it by killing that process. I would try disabling ZoneAlarm entirely. Like, all of it. Kill the whole damn thing. Because if it's not interfering, and you don't have another firewall in the way, and your Internet is actually working, then this error message is impossible.

Two things: "1.6.0" is a very old version of Java. You should be using "1.7.0_7", which is the current version available here: http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=68736 And when the bug report page asked you for an error log, we meant the entire error log, not just the last "different every time" string of numbers. Fix your bug report and we might be able to fix your Tekkit.

This is not a launcher bug, you'll have better luck in one of the modpack forums on this site. That actually looks like a faulty internet connection or like your tekkit server is having issues. I'd investigate there to begin with.

"64" is not an operating system. "Windows 7" or "Windows Vista" would be an operating system that Technic can run under. "uptodate" is not a version of Java. "7u7 64-bit" is the current version of Java that Technic requires. This error message (and its solution) are covered in the Common Problems and Solutions thread. Specifically, the section will tell you your Java install is corrupt. You'll need to uninstall all versions of Java, and then install the correct version from here: http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=68736 -

"windows office" is not an operating system. You are using either Windows Vista or Windows 7. Regardless, your Java is partially corrupt. You must uninstall (using the control panel tools) *all* versions of Java. Then download Java 7u7 64-bit and install it. Then try your launcher again. And if possible, you should *always* change your computer's settings to English before pasting errors, because this forum is staffed mostly by people who don't know Dutch. Now, once you've got Java fixed and you no longer have the Dutch-language crashing error, you need to take yourself to minecraft.net and either get your Minecraft password reset or purchase an account. Technic will only work if you have a premium Minecraft account, we're not in the business of piracy. -

I don't think there's many of us who are terribly familiar with the Mac launcher. First, questions: Have you run a system update recently? Have you tried trashing the launcher app and re-downloading it? And if the answers to both are yes, try trashing the Library/Application Support/techniclauncher folder (but move your saves out first!). -
Thanks for reporting your success. Deleting the %AppData%\.techniclauncher (backup your saves first!) is the very first step that should be tried when it stops working.

This forum is for bugs that occur before the Mojang screen appears, you'll get better help over here. But, have you tried pressing 'o' while looking at your inventory?

You'll probably get better help in the Tekkit bug board, this forum is for problems that occur before the Mojang logo appears. However, try deleting %AppData%\tekkit\config\EnderStorage.cfg and restarting Tekkit before you go over there.
