  1. Okay, now that the Technic site has stabilized, I can now deliver an actual answer. To install a modpack, you find it on the site, (Discover -> Browse Modpacks) choose one, and click "Install this Modpack" on the right side (above the Modpack Information panel.) I usually did that with the launcher open, and the modpack immediately showed up and could be installed. If that doesn't work, I think you can copy the platform URL and paste it in the text field above your list of modpacks in the launcher.
  2. I have seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. But I have never seen anything as broken as Solder right now.

  3. After the big Technic update today, I have lost the ability to create new builds of my modpacks. I just get an error page with the following stacktrace: Unhandled Exception Message: Error rendering view: [modpack.build.create] Invalid argument supplied for foreach() Location: /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/storage/views/7bc25690a021e3b27417aa7db0bfc8fc on line 27 Stack Trace: #0 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/laravel.php(42): LaravelError::native(2, 'Invalid argumen...', '/usr/share/ngin...', 27) #1 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/view.php(386) : eval()'d code(27): Laravel{closure}(2, 'Invalid argumen...', '/usr/share/ngin...', 27, Array) #2 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/view.php(386): eval() #3 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/blade.php(71): LaravelView->get() #4 [internal function]: LaravelBlade::Laravel{closure}(Object(LaravelView)) #5 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/event.php(199): call_user_func_array(Object(Closure), Array) #6 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/event.php(138): LaravelEvent::fire('laravel.view.en...', Array, true) #7 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/view.php(348): LaravelEvent::until('laravel.view.en...', Array) #8 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/view.php(590): LaravelView->render() #9 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/response.php(268): LaravelView->__toString() #10 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/laravel/laravel.php(180): LaravelResponse->render() #11 /usr/share/nginx/html/flawedspirit.com/solder/public/index.php(34): require('/usr/share/ngin...') #12 {main} This only started happening on December 25th. I was able to use Solder perfectly well beforehand. Is this a Technic issue, or am I equating correlation with causation and I broke my server again? EDIT: Got another person I know with a Solder install to try, with the same result. So I guess it's not me.
  4. Nothing can be done on the new Launcher at the moment. The Technic platform is down, so modpacks can't be added, removed, or installed. Not sure if existing ones can be played; I'm not able to check.
  5. Sorry for the belated response. Where I went wrong was in the config file (the one located at /solder/application/solder/solder.php). You need to enter the repo location and mirror URL, and I misunderstood. I tried entering in the actual FILE SYSTEM path to said repo (/usr/share/nginx/html/blah blah blah). That's wrong, apparently they mean an internet URL. So something like 'http://example.com/solder/' I hope I made sense here. Don't try to install solder at 3 in the morning. It ends poorly. Dazzuh, on 02 Aug 2014 - 2:36 PM, said: If you don't mind, could you pass on how you solved this issue? My solder setup was working fine up until about a week or two ago, "Importing" a pack to technicpack.net/modpack gives me a 500 internal server error and I have no option on my edit modpack page to link my modpack to solder. I also use nginx, solder is heavily modified. Oh, uh, in relation to this, I'm not sure. It's happened to me too, adding a 1.7.10 pack I was trying to test. Ends up with a 500 error on the technic end, and trying to launch the pack from the launcher actually crashes it! So sorry I can't be of more help with that. Also, make sure your platform key is pasted into the solder.php file. It says it's deprecated, but try it anyway.
  6. These questions never seem to be answered, but I'm just gonna keep trying till it is. I tried making an account months ago that used a hotmail email address. That was a big mistake. Hotmail never receives the email. There is no way to make it receive the email. I've ensured that the messages aren't scrapped by any filters, and I've waited days and weeks in case the email somehow got lost in the wires. That was a rather silly thing to do because emails travel at the speed of light, as does all electricity. So the problem might be on Technic's end. If I can't get my problem solved here, does anyone know whom I should contact to get the problem sorted out? (Like, who is able to either delete the account in question so I can remake it with a gmail address, or change the email address?)
  7. Nothing? From the scant amounts of literature I'm seeing online about this, apparently it's caused by a problem with the technic site not being able to reach my local solder install, but that can't be it. http://solder.flawedspirit.com/api/ works. It can connect just fine. Seriously, what is causing this? EDIT: Problem solved. It was a DNS issue. IPv6 gives nginx headaches. How embarrassing.
  8. The Dropbox link works when you remove the ""s. I guess just make sure those didn't get inserted into the "location" textbox in your modpack's settings. It could just be Dropbox being Dropbox. They change their public URL scheme every time the moon changes phase, when it's raining, or when it's sunny.
  9. All I can say is to just make sure Technic can reach your modpack's zip, wherever you put it. If you can type your zip's location URL into your browser and it begins downloading, you should be fine. It worked fine when I downloaded your pack to test earlier.
  10. That's a new one for me. What sort of error? What zip file are you opening and what program are you using to open it?
  11. Every mod goes in the "mods/" folder now. "coremods/" is deprecated. Your pack only needs three folders: bin, config, and mods.
  12. You're missing the mod called bspkrsCore. One of your mods needs that to run. You can find it here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1282347-bspkrs-mods-armorstatushud-directionhud
  13. So for some reason half the pages I try to visit on technicpack.net land me on a Cloudflare error page, due to 504 Gateway Timeouts. Specifically pages that deal with the solder API, or creating new modpacks. Can someone tell me why this is happening (and has been happening for months now) and when it'll be fixed? Thanks. EDIT: Just to clarify, ports 80, 443, and 3306 are all open and listening on my server.
  14. Title: Negative Temperature in Reactor Version: 3.1.2 OS: Windows 7 x64 Java Version: Java 1.6.0_34 x64 Description of Problem: When loading a new reactor with Integrated Heat Dispersers for the first time, reactor temperature immediately plummets into the negatives, and continues to drop even when reactor is operating. The temperature stops dropping when all the dispersers are removed, but will not begin climbing to 0 again unless the reactor is destroyed and built again. Tested with multiple reactors, water-cooled and non, and with different orders of loading coolant cells/dispersers/uranium cells. Putting a couple lava buckets in returns the reactor to positive temperature values, but then rapidly (about 2-300 degrees a second) drops back to negatives. Error Messages: None Error Log: None
