  1. Hi,

We can see when you reported the modpack, so don't lie.  It was deleted in a timely manner after you reported it.  In the future, use the report feature for this.  I actually took the time to investigate this because I thought we'd dropped the ball, and that turned out to be a waste of my time.

  2. For me, it's either Epsilon or Beta.

Delta: Easier access to a treasure spot that's always my first stop in any game.  Also easy access to certus & nether quartz which are easy-to-find replacements for copper & bronze.  Also, close to the water.

Beta: More land to spread out on, easy access to the water, MUCH closer to swamp and some other nice spots.

My favorite diamond level material is still iron/steel.  It's not the quickest way to get there but it's EVERYWHERE.  Remember to spend the first two gold ingots you find on the thaumometer and NOT on casts.  It's counter-intuitive, but that unlocks the gold tool quest with the supplier, and you can melt those down into ingots in your smeltery, at 2 rep per ingot!

I make living space by clearing out the swamp islands and making my home there.

I guess the Emergency Nutrition Bars.  I don't eat more than 5 of any regular food, it helps a lot!

    Steel :)

  3. Follow the quests under the instructor, and actually read the quests. They give you instructions for building a Hard Non-Metal pick, and they also give you two separate options for building Soft Metal (which lets you mine iron) and Hard Metal (which you need to mine gold so that you can make casts for your smeltery).  One of the two options uses tech ores, which are extremely rare, but the other option uses alien ores that are far more common.  The ore book offered from the instructor tells you where you can find these alien ores in high abundance.

Again, this is all laid out for you in the quest descriptions, which you should read.

  4. Yeah I would stay under the silverwood when mining for prometheum in biodome alpha, then when you go to the swamp, use the blooms you find there to clear the island with the silverwood on it.  You can make a quick trip to the plains scouting location to get 4 extra blooms to speed things up.  Once you have some oureclase from the swamp, maybe consider checking out the smaller island across from the silverwood island- it has a tainted node under it, so you'll have to do something about that, but it's got some really great mines, a zombie spawner, all kinds of stuff!

  5. Blightfall-saves is about 160Mb and it does not move the progress bar very much while it downloads.  We're working on improvements to our solder and the launcher to let the progress bar show progress for individual files better, but in the meantime I would be very patient with that file.

  6. An individual was on these forums (and the blightfall discussion section on the platform) who seemed to have some very dramatic complaints about every blightfall server available and also happened to have a microtransaction-based blightfall server.  It became apparent that most or all of these complaints were not factually-based, so we removed him from the forums, including his posted content, to avoid any confusion from potential players.  I'm posting this so that nobody gets the impression that he was "silenced" or censored or whatever by evil server owners.

  7. If you're at the correct level it's 4x as rare as diamonds.  I'd concentrate on the prometheum -> oureclase upgrade path & just mine regularly for whatever you need, you're bound to find it randomly one day. :)  Do make sure you get a mining book from the instructor & check that you're at the right level.

  8. Hi, Miner, can you try again today?  We spooled up some extra servers to deal with the extra load on mirrors, but didn't take into account the extra load on the launcher file service.  We've dealt with that, so you should be able to download the launcher.

  9. MS announced today that they took a huge write-down on their Nokia puchase.  It looks like windows phone is dying so the Win10 version is probably just to keep minecraft alive on whatever microsoft portable devices still exist 5 years from now.  Also for really young users, hop-in/hop-out 8-player SMP without a server that's compatible with PE multiplayer is a really great feature.
