I checked that site out and for being completely unaffiliated with valve they've got a very steam looking website.
It's a "dupe people to view ads in exchance for a small fraction of the ad revenue" site just like adfly.

Your question is in the hexxit section which isn't near as active as Tekkit or AotBT.

I'm just going by what I've heard from the guys actually in charge of this.
Frankly I could care less about tapatalk. I bought it then a month later they made it free and screwed up the UI pretty badly. I don't like it when someone takes my money they laughs and tell me to buy again.

Old forum software supported it, new one not so much.
I believe there is an alternative app that does work with the new forum, but I don't know what one that is.

Nah, CC just had more built in programs. They both use LUA, it's just OC uses a persistent state interpreter with more granular control over execution.
After you get crafting figured out its quite easy to get a robot mining for you.

If you want to recruit players you post in the server section once you have the server running. This modpack discussion section is not devoid of server advertisements just because no one thought to advertise here.

The only energy computercraft deals with is turtles eating fuel for move count. Computers themselves just run forever once built.
Opencomputers uses the UE API to have actual power usage.
I personally like opencomputers more. It's not just a race for 1 redstone, 7 iron, and 3 diamonds.

No point in this. Agrarian skies is a FTB launcher pach, not Technic. They have their own forums for questions like this.

And it's not like the FTB guys are the sort to blow out of proportion a minor comment. They actually have rather think skin for such things.
Not providing support is a secondary point compared to that I think.
Though any professional programmer that won't quickly respond to bug reports from major programmer... probably works for microsoft. :/
But lets not discuss this here I already found out what I wan't to know. That Planetguy was in no way involved with that insaden't and has no such negative fealings for FTB or related indaviduals.
And I cencerly hope to see RemIM in a FTB pack soon.
Despite it being a very good idea, I'm not seeing FTB changing their stance on the mod now just because a new developer has it.
Because they always had the option of doing just that back when jakj was active.
Really, it was something he has stated over and over was a possibility.
As for thick skinned and not blowing up over minor comments? You apparently don't know the history of FTB, do you?

The curse team is "experienced in caring for and growing online game communities" just as a rancher is experienced in caring for cattle. Their interests lay with growing a community because a large herd can be milked for more and give better returns when slaughtered, all while keeping them in fenced in areas and abusing any who stray from the herd..

If you read through that thread you'll find the official FTB stance is the mod cannot be used with the launcher at all because they didn't believe jakj would respond to their bug reports. And that's against policy that all mods that touch their packs even by manual player action must be made by people they talk to on a daily basis apparently...
Problem is jakj is a professional software developer and their accusations of inaction or malice on his part were really insulting. 2 seconds of rational thought on the matter and anyone would realize it doesn't matter where the bug reports come from, any bugs or odd mod interaction affects all launchers equally.

Wherever the install instruction claim they need to go in your minecraft directory, you need to do the exact same in the zip. The launcher just overlays the zip onto the clean minecraft install it creates.
