Tekkit and Technic - Whats the difference?

Sorry i sound like a complete shit dick, but what, if something, is the difference between Tekkit and Technic?

Technic is single player

Tekkit is multiplayer

If you mean mod-wise, then Technic has more mods

as fewer mods are SMP compatible (survival multiplayer)

Technic is a modpack for SSP. Tekkit is a modpack for SMP. Funny, i swear i saw another thread asking this a few days ago, you probably should have done a search first for your answer. Also once Minecraft updates to 1.3, there might not be a difference seeing as all mods will have to be SMP compatable. Also, what exactly is a "shit dick"?
