Water Strainer not letting oil through.

Question

Posted

Most machines and stuff in Tekkit has worked perfectly, but I was connecting an oil platform to my refineries today and decided to use a Water Strainer from Power Crystal's Power Converters mod to filter out water that got in the pipes. The water-to-power conversion seems to work so any water that gets piped into it gets consumed, but as soon as the oil reaches the Water Strainer it just stops. I've done it just like it says in Power Crystal's thread on the Minecraft forum and I've even tried every other way. I even tried gold pipes like he used in the Youtube video.

So I've tried pipe to the opposite sides, above and under and switched the input and output. I've tried with redstone going to the machine, with wooden pipes out and even with a motor by the output pipe.

No luck. It just won't let the oil through whatever I do.

I'm using Tekkit 2 and have the Water Strainer etc directly in it.

EDIT:

FrogBash: Just to be sure: You didn't mix up Technic with Tekkit? Technic doesn't have Power Converters because of BuildCraft 3.

It is possible.. I will have a look later on. I read about the water strainer issue somewhere on this board too. I just built a tunnel around the oil hole, filled in where the water was mixing, uncovered and destroyed my pump. Replaced the pump and voila- it worked!
