The tome of Alkahest is a good way i think, or maybe that's just glowstone

Oh awesome, thanks--the Alkahest's really useful, it basically turns trash like cobble and dirt into lapis and redstone.

What can you do with Alkahests? Like I get the basic idea but I never understood why its so good. Can they really be used as a replacement for mining certain minerals altogether?

It consumes a 'reagent' to combine with a block to produce more of that block. The more expensive the thing you duplicate, the more you need. I wouldn't call it a mining replacement, but certainly very useful. It's not equivalent exchange though.

It's very common in the upper levels near the surface in hexxit. I wouldn't go too deep for it like in vanilla.

Electric staffs are awesome for getting around the place fast :D they can help you find dungeons a lot faster than just walking

Better put unbreaking on it though or they run out really fast.

Yeah, and sadly they can't be repaired. Still, you can get plenty of electric essence from attacking pirate ships and slaughtering the crew xD

Walker dungeons are good too--but I always seem to find more pirate ships than walker castles, and all the pirates are in one place whereas walkers are spread throughout the castle

Haha, the Ur-ghast towers are one of my favourite dungeons to loot and they take ages if you do it fully  I end up going all the way through the tower taking everything, including the reappearing blocks

My only problem with long dungeons is storage, which can be solved by many big backpacks. The content I enjoy. I feel disappointed if they're too short.

I love this server! The twilight world gets reset often so i don't have to run around all the time looking for good loot! The players are always so nice to me also. the staff is also always willing to explain nicely to me if i have any issues! what a freaking awesome place 10/10!

Tinkers construct is such a fun mod. More weapons, more tools, and I had no problem starting up thanks to the help of the wonderful community
