sbemail Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was just wondering if someone can answer this question. How will the implementation of Emeralds into vanilla Minecraft affect the use of Emeralds in Tekkit? Will the Tekkit emeralds have the functions of vanilla emeralds as well as their original function? Will there be two seperate kinds of emeralds? Just wondering...
Neowulf Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 They aren't tekkit emeralds, Redpower 2 adds them. As to what happens, that depends on what Eloraam decides to do. Probably going to be a simple rename maybe a recoloring. Though it is possible she'll just drop her emeralds and rewrite the recipes to use the 1.3 vanilla emeralds.
BuccaneerRex Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Eloraam will probably make some elaborate multi-stage crafting process to create a Vacuum Deposition Chamber, so we can have lab-grown emeralds.
Neowulf Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I just wish she would add a laser cutter machine. Ruby block, some silver, and some bluetricity stuff for a block that cuts wafers and microblocks as if you were smelting.
NightKev Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I recall her saying somewhere that she's going to change her emeralds into some other green gem (I forget which one specifically though) and leave the vanilla emeralds alone.
BuccaneerRex Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'd like to see a lot more bluetricity. We need even MORE incompatible power systems. Seriously though, can I get some other ways to generate it?
NightKev Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 The Thaumcraft generator can create EU and Blutricity, and I think Buildcraft MJs too.
