I am having troubles in setting up a server for a custom modpack that I made. If anyone would assist me I would be very happy so please help.

The modpack is called Testing a2c1b3 on the technic launcher

  • All archive files intended for use in the platform must be in ZIP format only. 7z and RAR won't work.
  • NEI and Waila should be on both the client and server. All addons for NEI and Waila are client only and should be removed on the server.
  • At a glance, the only obvious client only mod in the crash report you listed is NEIPlugins.
  • You should be using the current stable builds of AE2rv2, not rv0.
  • You should be using the current builds of Mekanism 8.x and EnderIO 2.3.x, not EnderIO 2.1.x.
  • Some of your mods are from illegitimate sources. Any mod named in the format "ModName-Mod-1.7.10.jar" is likely not from a legitimate source. Make sure you are getting your mods directly from the mod authors and not some shady content stealing site.
  • Twilight Forest needs to be updated.
  • If Thermal Expansion was not working you likely downloaded the mod from an illegitimate source and didn't have a version which matched your CoFHCore. Thermal Expansion also requires Thermal Foundation.

  • You are still using a very old version of Forge. You should be using the latest recommended version at a minimum.
  • You have extracted several mods into the /mods/ folder. This is very bad and should never be done. Leave the mods as the JAR or ZIP files provided by the mod authors.
  • Most mod API JAR files are intended for use only by mod developers. They should be removed from both the client and server: AE2 API, Mekanism API, ResonantEngine API.
  • Many of your mods are still from illegitimate sources. Get them from the mod authors who created them, not from some shady random website on the internet. (and repeating myself gets old).
  • Twilight Forest is still fatally out of date (and again, repeating myself)
  • Your pack no longer contains Thermal Expansion or Thermal Foundation. Was this intentional?
  • AE2 is quite out of date (still).
  • Neither the platform, nor DropBox have an arbitrary size limit on how large the pack may be. You have many fatal issues with the pack which should be addressed before continuing.
  • Any time you change your download location URL or the contents of your modpack archive the modpack version number must be changed/incremented. Failure to do that will prevent the Launcher from being notified that a new version is available.

Sorry, I think I have weeded out all the illegitimate mods and updated all to the newest version although EnderIO only goes to version 2.2.8 not 3 I have just updated dropbox and would be very happy if you took a look.

Now when I launch the updated version it launches but before anything pops up it closes and there is no crash report.

Help please!!

  • You still have extracted mods in your /mods/ folder.
  • You have added mods since your last update that are old. Why are you downloading old mods? The mod author's latest builds, specifically for AM2, are very clearly labeled as such. Get your mods directly from the mod authors!
  • You still have mods from illegitimate sources. EVERY SINGLE MOD NAMED IN THE FORMAT OF "ModName-Mod-1.7.10.jar" OR "ModName-1.7.10.jar" IS FROM AN ILLEGITIMATE SOURCE.
  • iChunUtil is still out of date.
  • Twilight Forest is still fatally out of date (is this starting to sound painfully familiar?).
  • Witchery is still fatally out of date.

I don't know what to tell you at this point. You are either willfully ignoring my suggestions and corrective notices, or are unable to follow clear and concise instructions. Unless you can provide an update to the pack which directly addresses all of the issues I have brought up, or have specific questions about how to do the things I have suggested, I'm not sure we can continue here.

I have updated there are no illegitimate sources to my knowledge but I'm not sure if all are the newest version but I've done my best and I am sure that all the files that are supposed to be zipped are. I am still having problems when the launcher launches it just goes straight back to the launcher. Also is resonant-engine also known as universal electricity and if not can you get me a link to a legitimate source and Is there ICBM for 1.7.10?

I just went into the %appdata% and found in my mods folder that there was an unzipped Hamsteriffic file a Mekanism and Resonant-Engine api and an empty railcraft folder all of which aren't in my zip in dropbox also I need to install ender core which I have done and will upload new version tomorrow.

Btw technic launched and that's how I figured out about endercore requirement.

  • It finally looks like you have the mods from the correct sources. Some are out of date (iChunUtil for instance) but at least the looks mostly okay.
  • In your modpack, as of v1.3, you have what looks like a texture pack extracted into a folder named "[1.7.10]......mod.zip" and FlansMod is extracted when it shouldn't be.
  • Hamsterrific mod is named "Hamsterrific-0.2.0.jar.zip". Don't rename the mods, just download them.
  • iChunUtil is still out of date. Where are you seeing 4.1.0 listed as the latest 1.7.10 version? I can assure you that it is not so listed on iChun's website.
  • You have TreeCapitator mod but not the required dependency bspkrsCore.
  • Why do you even have Resonant Engine? It is a dependency mod and I don't see any mods which require it.

You are getting closer. If your client is crashing, make the updates I recommend above and then if it still doesn't work provide a crash report in a pastebin service.

  • You do not need that texture folder.
  • If the Hamsterrific mod file is named that, then it's fine to let it be. I did rename mine to be a .jar file, but meh.
  • VoltsEngine and ICBM are from another mod maker now: http://www.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/225502-icbm
  • UE and Atomic Science aren't currently maintained and should be left alone.

For the love of cheese, use a pastebin service (as I previously mentioned) to provide log/crash data. Don't pollute the thread with that crap.

As for what's causing your issue, I'm a bit frustrated. I told you exactly what you needed to do in order to fix the 1.7 version of your pack (i.e. replace ICBM with the current alpha build). You then provide a crash report after adding five more mods, one of which is not required by any mods in your pack (Resonant Engine). You should be learning as you go, but it seems that you are simply kinda-sorta making the changes I recommend and randomly chucking more mods into the pack by the handful.

I don't say these things to pick on you, but it seems as though you are not heeding my advice or learning from your mistakes. You should be building or changing the pack methodically. Make changes one at a time until you know exactly what is going to happen and are able to interpret the crash reports and logs.

Removing Resonant engine worked

Now I need to add NEIplugins, how do I do this? I think that this is the newest version but I am using NEIPlugins-MC1.7.10-1.1.0.8-unofficial.

Also do you know how to make TConstruct compatible with nether ores?
