Kenneth A. Endfinger Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 My textures for Tekkit are always messed up. On every computer I use. SSP and SMP. No matter what, they are messed up. Can somebody please help me? I use Tekkit 3.1.1. Thanks in advance. I use a Chromebox from Google I/O 2012 with Ubuntu 12.04 on it 64-bit and I have Oracle Java 7 installed.
The_DarthMoogle Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 This isn't helpful. Bug reports are there for a reason. All I can recommend is that you get OpenJDK instead, and change your version of Optifine to normal.
Kenneth A. Endfinger Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 They look like they have tons of items textures in one. And I did reinstall the Launcher about 10 times. Same thing. Also, do you think updating LWJGL might help?
Kenneth A. Endfinger Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 I use optifine and openjdk does the same. Sorry it wasn't helpful. I don't have a computer to play Tekkit on right now. I am using my Chromebook. Otherwise, there would be screenshots.
ronneke1996 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Did you delete the techniclauncher folder first?
Kenneth A. Endfinger Posted July 25, 2012 Author Posted July 25, 2012 I have deleted the .techniclauncher folder in ~ numerous times. Can I actually change the OptiFine type? If so, how?
Torezu Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Download the OptiFine you want and drop its contents into the modpack.jar in the bin folder of the correct mod pack, using 7zip or WinRAR. That's it.
Shuudoushi Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I am also having this problem and updating/changing optifine does not work... http://imgur.com/a/uDvpq#0
theprolo Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I am also having this problem and updating/changing optifine does not work... http://imgur.com/a/uDvpq#0 Reboot your Tekkit. Works for me.
Shuudoushi Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Reboot your Tekkit. Works for me. I have. It seems to not help at all for me...
roboplex22 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I have this same exact problem. I have reinstalled technicpack many times, and it hasn't helpes. Also, sometimes half of the redstone engine texture is missing. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. I am running Linux Mint 14 on an HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14" built for Windows 8. I have OpenJDK Java 7 Runtime.
Shuudoushi Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 My problem seems to have been do to my onboard vid card getting burnt up. According to Biostar (the makers of my mobo). It was from me using Ubuntu 12.04.1 32-bit (which has native PAE) and the vid card seeing the 32-bit but getting more than the 3.2ish GB of ram that most 32-bit OS' limit you to.
roboplex22 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Will tekkit mess up my video card then? Because I really dont want to harm my computer. Sorry, if im wrong, im a linux, and hardware newbie.
The_DarthMoogle Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Will tekkit mess up my video card then? Because I really dont want to harm my computer. Sorry, if im wrong, im a linux, and hardware newbie. Nope. Java might, though.
roboplex22 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Okay. I actually am not sure if I have a video card. I think all I have is the built in Intel Core i3 HD 2000. I'm just
roboplex22 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 using Linux until I get my windows 8 back from HP.
The_DarthMoogle Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 That is integrated graphics right there. In general, integrated graphics is the worst thing to ever happen to mankind, but in all fairness it shouldn't affect you unless you start trying to squeeze a better framerate out with Optifine, say.
Shuudoushi Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Yeah, as long as you aren't running a 32-bit system with more than 3.2ish gb of ram on your card you shouldn't run into the problem I had. For the most part you should have no problems with this issue. Java may still rape your rig however....
roboplex22 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Ok. I might look at a dedicated graphics card then. I really do want to start playing some more games that might require better specs.
