Problem with advanced machines

I have 3 rotary macerators and 3 induction furnaces hooked up to a MFE which is getting power from an MV solar array. The MFE has plenty of power and i used glass fiber cables to connect them. The MFE is hooked up facing the right direction but my macerators refuse to receive power without a transformer upgrade. Is this supposed to be like this? Am I screwing up somewhere?

Without a transformer upgrade, the machines should only accept 32 EU/t packets of power. An MFE produces 128 EU/t packets.

You're lucky your advanced machines haven't exploded.

Just go on the industrialcraft wiki and remember that from power storage you can either move packets in 32, 128, or 512 EU/t packets for a batbox, MFE, and MFSU (respectively).

If you were to have a SUC reactor, for example, you'd probably have to use an HV transformer before plugging into an MFSU because those only take 512 EU/t packets.

In short, don't input EU/t packets that are greater than what your machines can accept. It's like plugging a blender into a high voltage power line, it's not going to end well for the blender...or you when you plug it in.

I do like how the updated advanced machine takes overclockers and transformer upgrades though so the problem can be easily resolved.

Yeah that's true...I should probably just not complain as much. But I also have another problem with my macerators and pneumatic tubes with the items trying to go on the bottom slot

instead of the next macerator which I solved by just putting dirt there instead.

Yeah, getting some of those machines to play nicely with tubes sometimes takes a creative solution.

I added empty batteries to the bottom slots to fix that problem.

The Advanced Machines, being the Rotary Macerator, Singularity Compressor, and Centrifuge Extractor, only accept 32 EU/t packets by default. You need transformer upgrades to make them accept 128 EU/t.

This is unintuitive given that the Induction Furnace accepts 128 EU/t by default, but it's not too hard to work around.
