Carstone Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Hi there! I made a few tanks to keep my oil in, and I'm now converting it to fuel with the refinery. I was just wondering how I can link all my tanks together? Right now the refinery is only using 1 tank, but I have 10+ tanks :-/ Thanks! Carstone Mod Edit: *Bloop* Quote
Carstone Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Ok, I've tried with redstone engines, but there must be an easier way? than 10 redstone engines and a hell of alot of pipes :( Quote
Torezu Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Stack them. Use any tank to fill from pipes, the bottom one to empty with a wooden waterproof pipe and engine. Oh, and don't sign your posts. Quote
Xylord Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 A screenshot of your setup, but I think balance pipes would do exactly what you want, if you don't want to have one ridiculously high tank. Quote
Torezu Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Just split the pipes coming out of the pump/refinery. They'll balance themselves while it's pumping, and overflow will go to a different tank. You will still need a wooden pipe out of the bottom of each tank stack, though. Quote
stringburka Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Build on height, at least 4 or 5 tanks high - preferably about 6-8. That way, you really don't need more than 3-4 of them (and if you do, getting a redstone engine or five extra shouldn't be an issue Quote
Carstone Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Yeah thats what i wanted to avoid. My tanks are filling up nicely with new oil, but I wanted to avoid having wooden pipes on all tanks going out to the refinery.. Thanks for your help though! http://carstone.dk/oilstuff.png as you can see on the picture, im pumping out oil from the middle tank, to the right one. I guess i gotta do the same for the left one Quote
