Would say get rid of the NEI server side (in your server mods folder) its not even needed and could be used against you and there's actually nothing that can protect you from the bug there is with that, the NEI client will work and still show you all the recipes and such, so no worry there.

When I try to log into a server with 3.1.2 it says I need the required mods: mod__IC2 v1.95, mod_Railcraft 5.2.4, mod_TubeStuff 48.2.1, mod IC2NuclearControl v1.1.6, mod_CompactSolars 2.2, mod_IronChest 3.3, mod_ImmibisCore 48.2.1, mod_EE 1.4.5.1 and mod_CraftingTableIII (Beta1.8, MC1.2.5). Also on the title screen I see a new thing that I'm able to click on that says Mods. And in the left hand corner I see a few mods and below the mods it says 41 mods loaded. Is there anyway to fix this so I can go on the server I wanna go on?

You're in the wrong spot. However, I'll help: those mods are for 3.0.3 - you'll have to go back to the launcher window, clear your cache, and manually select 3.0.3 to play on that server, until it itself updates. Save your waypoints for that world if you have any you want to keep.

The server need to upgrade to 3.1.2 or you have to downgrade to 3.0.4 to join their server, if you want to downgrade, just press the options button and choose manual build selection then choose the 3.0.4, then click on the clear cache button and click ok, now login, you should see that you are downloading the mods needed for 3.0.4 then you will be able to join the server you want to play on.

Torezu, can you elaborate on the line:

"Save your waypoints for that world if you have any you want to keep."

I upgraded and noticed my 40+ waypoints are gone. Would very much like to get them back!

Waypoints are stored in files named after the world or server name, in the Rei's Minimap folder, in your tekkit client folder structure, I think in \mods. If you can pull them out of Windows 7's auto-backup, you're good, otherwise...let's just say I've had to replace my waypoints list once. It wasn't fun.

Thanks for your help. I found them (on a Mac) and used TimeMachine to roll back. Maybe a future version won't overwrite user data.

A future version of the mod might, but you usually have to Clear Cache when updating anyway, and the waypoints are part of that. This isn't something the launcher can control unless something is specifically added in to back up waypoints.
